AGON by AOC Announces the 24G4XE and 27G4XE Gaming Monitors

AGON by AOC - one of the world's leading gaming monitor and IT accessories brands - unveils the latest additions to its G4 series from their acclaimed AOC GAMING portfolio, the 23.8" (60.5 cm) 24G4XE and 27" (68.6 cm) 27G4XE models. Launched this year, the new G4 series with its striking stealth aircraft-inspired design is already available on the market, featuring the height-adjustable Full HD models 24G4X and 27G4X, as well as the QHD model Q27G4X.

Engineered to cater to the core gamer audience seeking high performance without the premium price, the 24G4XE and 27G4XE represent pared-down alternatives with a no-frills stand design, while maintaining high performance specifications such as a 180 Hz refresh rate and up to 1 ms GtG response times. This makes the new G4 models significantly more accessible, addressing the demand for competitive-level gaming experiences at a more attractive price point.
Announced this year, the G4 series monitors from AGON by AOC are the latest models to replace the previous, award-winning G2 models applauded for their high performance and exceptional value. Featuring a new, sleek design in black, inspired by sharp angles of a stealth aircraft, the G4 series boasts updates on its outer shell as well as under the bonnet, while maintaining its excellent value proposition. Upped from the 144/165 Hz models, the new base models in AOC GAMING's portfolio feature a 180 Hz refresh rate, improving the motion clarity and smoothness. Fitted with height-adjustable stands to promote a healthy posture and usability, the previous FHD models 24G4X and 27G4X, as well as the QHD Q27G4X offer gamers a full package from the get-go.

The main difference between the 24G4XE and 27G4XE models and the two forerunners is the simplified stand, which offers tilt adjustment (-5/23°) to meet basic ergonomic needs while reducing the overall cost. For users with other adjustment means (adjustable desks or monitor arms) for the optimum viewing height, the new 24G4XE and 27G4XE complement the series with simpler stands at a great price.

Crisp, fluid visuals for the core game
Both the 24G4XE and 27G4XE maintain the lauded specifications of their height-adjustable siblings, featuring 23.8" and 27" display sizes respectively. Each monitor boasts a Fast IPS panel, delivering a crisp Full HD (1920x1080) resolution complemented by a blazing 180 Hz refresh rate and up to 1 ms GtG response time for seamless, fluid gameplay. With 300 nits of brightness, a 1000:1 contrast ratio, and HDR10 support, these monitors reproduce vivid, lifelike visuals across a wide spectrum of games.

For versatility and immersion
Designed with versatility in mind, both models feature a 3-sided frameless design that is ideal for multi-monitor setups. For gamers who require more flexibility, both monitors are equipped with VESA 100x100 mount capabilities, allowing for the attachment of monitor arms for customised height and angle adjustments. Adaptive-Sync support ensures smooth, artefact-free performance across variable frame rates, making these monitors a formidable ally in any gaming arsenal. And the new, intuitive OSD menu and the lightweight G-Menu software offer gaming-focussed modes and features such as Smart Crosshair or Shadow Control.

Connectivity is not compromised, with both models featuring 2x HDMI 2.0 and 1x DP 1.4 inputs, alongside 2x 2 W speakers for a total multimedia experience. These specifications ensure the 24G4XE and 27G4XE monitors are not only capable of meeting the demands of modern gaming but also versatile in accommodating various entertainment needs and day-to-day tasks.

Pricing and availability
The AOC GAMING 24G4XE and 27G4XE come with a 3-year-warranty and will be available from May 2024, at an MSRP of £139.99 and £159.99 respectively.
