Easiest way to do a Vista and Win 10 dual boot

Hi,

I've repaired a laptop for a friend, but he wants to keep Vista on his hard drive, but I want to transfer that over to an SSD and install Windows 10 as dual boot. This way he can keep Vista (sentimental reasons) and actually be able to use the laptop at the same time because Vista is, as you know, dead and unsupported.

Edit: I've made an image of the Vista drive and now putting it onto the SSD. I'll then make a new partition and try to install windows 10 beside it. Hopefully it will dual boot.

So long as it is set to legacy boot with MBR I dont see an issue. With UEFI modern windows really doesnt like to do the dual booting thing IME.

Install vista first, partition the drive , then install 10 on the second partition. 10's boot editor should handle the rest.
