The Sabrent Rocket 4 Plus-Destroyer 2.0 is a solid-state drive in the M.2 2280 form factor, launched in July 2022. It is only available in the 64 TB capacity listed on this page. With the rest of the system, the Sabrent Rocket 4 Plus-Destroyer 2.0 interfaces using a PCI-Express 4.0 x16 connection. The SSD controller is the PS5018-E18-41 from Phison, a DRAM cache chip is available. Sabrent has installed 112-layer TLC NAND flash on the Rocket 4 Plus-Destroyer 2.0, the flash chips are made by Toshiba. To improve write speeds, a pseudo-SLC cache is used, so bursts of incoming writes are handled more quickly. The cache is sized at 7040 GB, once it is full, writes complete at 8120 MB/s. Copying data out of the SLC cache (folding) completes at 5304 MB/s. Thanks to support for the fast PCI-Express 4.0 interface, performance is excellent. The Rocket 4 Plus-Destroyer 2.0 is rated for sequential read speeds of up to 28,700 MB/s and 27,800 MB/s write.
The SSD's price at launch is unknown. The warranty length is set to five years, which is an excellent warranty period. Sabrent guarantees an endurance rating of 6000 TBW, a very low value compared to other SSDs.
