Apacer Announces ARES DDR3-2133 MHz Dual Channel Memory Kits for Overclocking

i was under the impression that DDR3 kits dont get very hot... i wonder why they put on this crazy assed cooler which will only limit its ability to fit into most peoples cases?

Depends on the sticks, the voltage, and the speed. 60c is not uncommon for mem with heatSPREADERS(note I did not say heatSINKs)
