The thread you're referring to the guy has a low end rig with a low end low res monitor and wanted to be able to play games at playbale frame rates with "Good" settings, not max it out and have 16xAF and 32xAA.
So yes a 7750 would be absolutlely fine for what he wants at 720P resolution.
Now if you want to carry this on by all means PM me.
I wouldn't mind a slightly lower end discrete for the made in Japan label. But when its bottom of the barrel low for the same price as something that comes with a good midrange + quad core i7....ehhh.
