TP-LINK Debuts Next Generation Wi-Fi Powerline Extenders

TP-LINK, a global provider of networking products, today announced its new 300Mbps AV200 and AV500 Wireless N Powerline Extenders, the TL-WPA2220 and TL-WPA4220 respectively. The latest in TP-LINK's increasingly extensive Powerline device portfolio, these devices will allow users to expand their wireless and Powerline networks for robust network connectivity around a home or office with impressive wired Powerline and 802.11n wireless speeds.

The TL-WPA2220 and TL-WPA4220 extend a network connection to every room within a home's electrical circuitry. Devices in the room have two options to access the network through the Wi-Fi PLCs, either wirelessly or using an Ethernet cable, making wired and wireless network expansions easier than ever. With 200Mbps/500Mbps Powerline and 300Mbps wireless data transfer rates, they are ideal for bandwidth intensive or latency sensitive applications like video streaming, online gaming and Internet calls.
TP-LINK's 300Mbps AV200 and AV500 Wi-Fi Powerline Extenders will be shown at CES from January 8-11, 2013 Las Vegas Convention Center South Hall 4-Upper Level, Booth 36212

Hy-Fi Technology
What makes these devices truly stand out, however is their use of the latest in Hy-Fi technology, giving users the ability to pair the devices at the touch of a button and in-so-doing, copy the existing wireless credentials of the host device, using its AP Clone feature. What this means is that when a user has paired their devices using AP Clone, they will technically be roaming across several different wireless networks around their home or office, but due to the networks sharing the same access credentials, there is no need to manually jump from one network to the other, the user's client device recognizes the new network as the same as the one they just left creating a ubiquitous "super network" of paired devices only limited by the number of Wi-Fi Powerline Extenders connected to the network.
Estimated Product Availability: Q2 2013
