Swiftech Releases the H240-X All-In-One CPU Cooler

Rouchon Industries Inc., dba Swiftech today announced the release of the H240-X all-in-one CPU liquid cooling kit.

Following in the footsteps of the award winning H220-X CPU cooler, the patent pending H240-X all-in-one liquid cooling system features an even larger dual 140 mm copper radiator and 140 mm fans coupled to an enthusiast grade pump and water-block. As in previous Swiftech offerings, the product remains entirely focused on low to inaudible operating noise with extreme thermal performance, and it is engineered to appeal to the broadest possible spectrum of performance oriented users ranging from casual to hard-core enthusiasts.
For casual users, the kit is shipped factory pre-filled, ready for plug-and-play installation, and it is maintenance free during its three warranty period. For enthusiast users, the kit can be fully customized thanks to easily replaceable tubing and fittings, and its powerful pump can easily support additional components such as graphics cards and/or extra radiator(s).

The H240-X leverages Swiftech's patent pending technology initially developed for the MCR-X20 Drive series of radiators, in which the pump is fully integrated into the radiator instead of being built into the waterblock. It features a compact dual 140 mm copper and brass radiator, a built-in backlit reservoir with visible coolant level, and Swiftech's recently released flagship Apogee XL waterblock for extreme cooling performance.

Gabriel Rouchon, Swiftech's chairman and CEO declared: "When we released the H220-X last July, the clear message was: "Swiftech is back with a vengeance", but there were still a few larger size units that came nibbling at the ankle.. Enters the H240-X which further widens the performance gap between our technology and that of the competition: whether it is run-of-the-mill AIO's or custom offerings, the H240-X delivers superior results at a wallet friendly price-point."

MSRP: $149.95
Availability: Now on Swiftech's web site at www.swiftech.com/H240-X.

I think linus tech tips did a review on youtube for this cooler.

Or the one before this.... i know he mentioned about the block wasn't color changing and that was his only beef on it. Great cooler by far from what I've seen.

Either him or jayz two cents did a review and were quit impressed.

Its an awesome cooler, probably the best on the market, the only negative for me is no push to exhaust fan mounting. I would prefer the reservoir to be along the side instead of hanging down.

Any chance I can run these on there side. I have a 250D case and I have to mount it on its side. I would have to go with a H220X of course duel 120mm

I would also like to add a 7970 block to the loop and maybe a 140mm rad for the front of the case? to much for the pump.

have to find a few reviews and start doing some research.

Thanks!

When Corsair designed the 250, they only wanted people to use the H100i for cooling. Max rad is 27mm, not many are that much thinner, leaves very little to choose from.
H220-X rad is 29mm and might not fit the 250D.

So you are just blowing smoke or you have 1st hand knowledge?

I have found many users that state it does and even pictures of it fitting. worst case I don't use the back fan and I will not and have not install a 5.25 bay or fun thin fan in the rear and a standard fan in the front half?

There was a typo in my post, sorry.
Dont be rude or stop posting.
Depending on the mobo you have. if you got the daughter board on, the depth is smaller and makes a very tight fit.
You will have to remove the 5.25" to have a rad in there anyway. H220 is different that H220-X

According to Swiftech's website, you can run the H240-X on it's side. Same with the H220-X, which I have installed in my Corsair 250D.

Not sure if the H240-X would fit though... If it did, I wish I would've waited for it to be released instead of getting the H220-X...

I just noticed that the image says H220-X... This is posted on the H240-X product page: www.swiftech.com/H240-X.aspx#tab4

It's the same design so I don't see why you can't install it on it's side.

There is only 240mm mounting on the side. You have a pic on the H220-X mounted? Asus Z97 Impact is one mobo that made it harder to mount rad+ fan.
Only mount you can not do on H220-X/H440-X is bottom with the pump above the rad.

wasn't trying to be rude, thanks ZoneDymo ;)

I was simply asking how you got your info, I as asking because you must know something I don't, I DONT know much as I just got the case and only put it together last week, I have just started my quest to building this up.

I originally planned to put in a full custom loop in it, that is why I was confused why the Swiftech wouldn't work because it doesn't have a huge rad.

I did find the info on mounting and watched a bunch of stuff on this, I am completely convinced that I am ready to buy, just need a water block for my GPU.

Thanks

I will post a picture when I get home.

I can see why you would have issues with the Asus Z97 Impact since it has that daughterboard.

Edited: Sp33d Junki3 is correct. There is no 280mm mounting point for the 250D. I got confused with Swiftech's naming convention. H"240"-X... :P

Just make sure you pick/have a motherboard that can clear the radiator+fan. I have the ASRock H97M-ITX/ac which doesn't have a daughterboard and the H220-X installed with no issues.

My board has no daughters plus it wouldn't matter to me to no run fans on it, i don't need extreme cooling

My CPU is on the Intel cooler now and never gets over 55c and I plan to run a 140mm rad in the front of the case for the GPU and it will support a fan. the other rad doesn't really need fans.

The H220-X is just such a cheap option to get great cooling and then add a few extra items ie 140mm rad and GPU block

I'm definitely amazed with this AIO System. Best for me.
I didn't like huge cube on H220 but this system is what people with AIO as H100 expect.
After H100 and H80 we see many types but nothing new, from one manufacturer to other Asatek or CoollT.
People really need nice AIO System with two fans to cooldown CPU and GPU in same time and look nice and easy for installation.
I think with H220X and now this new NVIDIA GTX980 that's definitely possible.
GTX980 Hydro Copper and 4790K temps will not be as custom loop, that's not possible but enough for OC and better than any AIR Cooler.
One one side is possible to install 2 fans, on other side only one but never mind. Gently Typhoons pressure on 1800-1900 is enough.
I don't know maybe is even possible to install one fan as intake and other two on front as exhaust... Maybe that can improve temps...
Even if hottest area on radiator is near tubes maybe help and less warm air will enter in case.

Guy from Swiftech told me in Friday in Europe for 1-2 weeks will be available H220X, probably than and H240X.
Best thing for me is because people could use compression fittings on every port. Even on pump with one little adapter from swiftech site, radiator and Apogee XL are compatible with G 1/4 but with that adapter and pump, and that customers can use any size of tube. 10/13 excellent for me and compression fittings are more secure.
I can bet people with GTX980 can cool down CPU and GPU with only 240mm radiator from H220X. For overclocked GTX780Ti or Titan Black need one more 120mm on place of front fan.

I don't know how Helix 120mm work compare to Gentle Typhoon?

If someone didn't saw this part give possibility for more secure whole loop with compression fittings and can be replaced with fabric on pump. Than it's much easier to use all kind of tubes. First time when I saw H220X my comment was if customers can use compression fittings instead fabric this will be amazing system...

I did not know about this adapter, this is excellent. I'll have to buy for my 220X. Thanks very much for posting!!!

Guy on kingpincooling site test one H220X and he say best AIO he ever test, beat completely H105.
Only he test with Haswell 4790K and this system should be test with some 3930K, i7-5820K or some even older CPU than SB where heat transfer is better.

Yes adapter only on pump other 3 ports are compatible with G 1/4.
You have explained on Swiftech site exactly how to install.
I can't stop to think about this... With this system I will pay 1/3 of price for custom loop. I mean Swiftech H220X + GPU Block will be 1/3 of price I plan to pay.
And I make only for GPU and CPU. I can try even with only H220X and than to install one 120mm.
If you ask me this is only system capable to keep overclocked i7-5960X on some nice OC.
