Codemasters Announces Dirt Rally 2.0 for February 26 2019, Releases Trailer

Codemasters today announced the year-away release of their next Dirt game. Dirt Rally 2.0 will be available in February 26th 2019, and aims to keep up with Codemaster's tradition of being one of the relevant racing-games developers in the world, alongside their annual F1 releases.

The company has announced that the game will have six rally locations (New Zealand, Argentina, Spain, Poland, Australia and the USA, in 8 of the WRX circuits) and a smattering of classic and modern cars with their distinct handling profiles for your racer's heart to feel contented with. There will be seasons of post-launch content, which will be paid, and there's a Deluxe Edition of the game which will include the first initial seasons. You can catch the trailer after the break.

1. No winter stages? Would have loved some snow action.
2. Is it just me or does it look more like a blockbuster movie than a racing sim/game?

1-We don't know that yet *EDIT: Oh maybe what you mean is "snow rallies". In that case maybe you could add snow to the existing ones. In Argentina stages snow falls sometimes, Poland with snow on top could work as a replacement for real snow rallies.
2-Why? Is common for game trailers especially car simulation games to use effects and cinematic effects on their trailers. Appart from that, there was nothing weird in it. Rally, rallycross as always. The bridge in the final part is one of the famous "Indiana Jones" bridges in the Condor-Copina Stage in Rally Argentina. Nothing I saw on this trailer tells me "block buster". In fact was quite tame.

I hate Codemasters, their CS is crap for older games.

I would hate for this game to have to be paid to buy it then paid for extra's on top.. Just put it altogether to start with.. I hate the way games have become :(

Still that said, if I have made it through Dirt 3 Showdown and then bought Dirt 4 and whatever the last one is called, I might consider this one.. I do love the series of games but if they start doing add ons for having released 50% of the game in the first place they can get stuffed....

the last Dirt had only "fictional" localizations. I know it well because I ride on the same roads as the advertised tracks. They used just local textures and background, nothing real. In this age when we have satellite imaginary!!! Very disgusting and not going to buy again from them.
