More trailers than the number of times the game was delayed or the other way around, I can't tell.

Ah yes "Nigh City", the imminent city. Definitely not "Night City".

Well, I guess I'm going to have to see how it runs on my 2080 after all, whether I wanted too or not.

Is it just me or does the terrain look very flat and low poly? Terrain, floor, ground (not the stuff placed in the world)

I wondered about this in the demo NVIDIA gave me last year, and people told me "oh they'll work on it". No change there it seems

Gotta fit without that polygon budget of last gen consoles.

I mean that takes you so far before it starts to look horrible, I imagine this must be a pretty memory heavy game pushing those 6-7 GB or however much these consoles have available to the limit. Sadly what happens is that because of the sheer amount of assets many remain in that lower poly state even for the PC port.

Maybe its RT tax or maybe CDPR had a bit of an ambitious target to begin with.

I do think the consoles have had a say in this - they quite simply always do when its a day 1 launch on all platforms.

It's not just you, I noticed that too, especially in videos with driving in the desert. Even the transition from tarmac to offroad is non existant.
I'm still holding out for this game bacause IMO it's overhyped and people have too high expectations for it, and most of them blindly deny any faults of the game.

techisfunThis looks mediocre at best. The graphics are deep within the so-called "uncanny valley, " which is just a complicated way to say they're ugly. The humans look and move like creepy mannequins. Ugly graphics are always a bad sign. It means the developers are idiots who don't know how to make good-looking graphics. Notice how a lot of popular games, like Dota 2, LoL, Fortnite, Valorant, Minecraft, WoW, Among Us, etc., don't strive for realism. The developers of those games know realistic graphics don't make a game better.

Gamers spend hundreds of dollars on gaming to look at ugly 3D graphics because they're stupid.
I always find funny when someone says Ungly this and that without even making comparison to understand what is suppose to be good .
It's nonsense . Your looking at a video not real time graphic on your monitor . You even have to see on what they run the game to make the gameplay . Was on pc or was on some old gen console ? I will wait for pc to make a judgement about graphic.

But AC Valhalla terrain looks SO amazing. Yes I get it, one is city, the other is nature, but as @repman244 mentions this is the case in the desert zone, too

New trailers look utterly bad, more delays more downgrades it seems. Oh well I will let the console crowds enjoy this game, I'm done with CDPR.

Purchasing games just for graphics is like watching interactive movie. Most either acquire for story or gameplay, visuals are just that sprinkle on top. If game design and features are cut out alongside then yes, it is a major issue.
