How do you voice control a game?
"Go left. Not that much left. Just a little bit left. Attack the enemy. Not that enemy. Not even that one. Block. Counter-attack."

What a mess. Just like the article. :kookoo:

Voice commands in games are nothing new. You even have software - Voiceattack for example, thay can convert your phrases to keypresses and use that in every game.

Of course it doesn't make sense for all games, or for all commands (your example, using it for unit movement). But for example using voice commands for communications with AI planes, ATC in flight sims is really imersive.

The first voice controlled game i used as a child was some submarine game

"Fire torpedo one!" i yelled, pissing off the whole family

"Aye cap'n! Scuttling ship!"

and i never. EVER. wanted to use a game with voice recognition again.

I remember hitting EU third spot a few weeks on voice commands alone in this game on ps3

10/10 would happily do that again. WMDing veteran units of the enemy and the rage that followed on PS network messages afterwards... oh man. Absolute gold.

It was really immersive playing this with voice commands and near flawless too..
