Alphacool Announces ES Orbiter External Cooling System

Excellent cooling for industrial applications! With the ES Orbiter 360 TS, Alphacool introduces a compact external cooling system. The powerful ES Orbiter is equipped with two NexXxoS Full Copper radiators of the HPE variant. The increased number of water channels and copper fins allows more coolant to flow through the radiator for significantly increased cooling performance. The radiators are optimally ventilated by the three built-in Alphacool Core 120 mm fans. Thus, a high waste heat of up to 1500 watts can be effectively dissipated.

The compact design of the Orbiter 360 TS is kept simple. It not only has an illuminated, colored temperature display, but also two recessed handles that allow for easy lifting or transportation. On the fill level indicator on the front, it is possible to see how much coolant is in the cooling system. The fill port and the adjacent vent valve on the top make it easy to top up the liquid when needed.

For those with a lot of disposable income, something like this would probably pair well with a water cooled SFF build...it's just a more elegant looking external setup. Though if it's utilizing only three fans on two 360mm radiators, I might consider swapping the stock fans out for some Phanteks T30s or a Noctua Industrial with 3000rpm

As far as I know - there are two rads... but one is 120 mm and the second 240 mm. So, overall - not too hefty, and would be enough only for a CPU (not a combo with the GPU)

I suppose it wouldn't be enough for a geforce 4090 but I could cool a Vega 56 under various OC situations (over 250W power draw on the card only) using only a 120mm rad, and that was with that crappy two-slot metal heatsink, not the sleek 1-slot acrylic that watercooled the entire card.

Yeah, interesting but for the price all things considered it just doesn't have enough surface area. Dual 360mm or 420mm radiators would be much more compelling. Seems like an Arctic Liquid Freezer II 420mm at $125 is a bargain, even if you have to mount the radiator externally. You'd also be much better off with the Alphacool NexXxos XT45 1080mm radiator, rad box, and pump & reservoir combo but that wouldn't be as self-contained as this.

ETA: It also seems to me that having two radiators makes the bill of materials much higher than if it were a single radiator, while only being 360mm worth of radiators total.

As someone who’s obsessed with external water cooling, it’s so nice to see companies take risks and create products like this. The holy grail for me would be a standalone external cooling PSU that operates in tandem with your PC. I know there are workarounds but man, I’d throw my wallet at that.
