30 series are old Zen 3 or 3+ cpu's and the lower end of the 3x apus. Definitely not orange stickers.

ASUS keeps making the same mistake with this, they provide the OLED model in super high resolution, and honestly it just makes the system chug.

Better to just offer a nice OLED 1920 x 1080 120hz or 75hz for this form factor.

Not event zen3+, unfortunately. These are just 5800U, it seems AMD has many of those still left in a drawer or something.

I completely agree. Beyond a certain point (which +140ppi certainly is), all throwing more pixels does it slow down games and makes apps look blurrier (if you're forced to scale because you don't enjoy reading size 3pt fonts) than unscaled at a lower res. Double bonus points if you paid extra for that premium 4k glossy screen 'experience', and instead of "deep OLED blacks", in reality all you end up seeing on a bright sunny day is the reflection of your own shirt...

The 15" model has a 1080p OLED version.

every laptop at the local store is Intel i5-1135G7 and Ryzen 5700U

I don't remember this happening in the past, the only decently priced products in retail all being so out of date

+1 Totally agree, unnecessary expense, it would have been better to wait only 1 month and release it with AMD ZEN 4 7040 Phoenix = DDR5 + RDNA 3 + USB 4.0 + HDMI 2.1 with orange label, that's what users want to see.
