Intel Releases Arc GPU Graphics Drivers 101.4502 WHQL

Intel late Thursday released the Arc GPU Graphics Drivers 101.4502 WHQL. The drivers address a major issue that caused the iTunes Windows app to crash during launch. It also addresses a blank screen error noticed in some apps that use WebView2 embedded content. These aside, the the company identified new issues with GPU hardware acceleration for Premiere Pro, errors with Topaz Video AI, and crash with F1 23 on certain XeSS presets. There are no new game optimizations with this release.

Fixed Issues
Intel Arc Graphics Products:
  • iTunes may experience an application crash during launch
  • A blank screen or error may be observed in certain applications when embedding content using WebView2
Known Issues
Intel Arc Graphics Products:
  • System may hang while waking up from sleep. May need to power cycle the system for recovery.
  • GPU hardware acceleration may not be available for media playback and encode with some versions of Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • Topaz Video AI may experience errors when using some models for video enhancement.
  • Some users may experience a crash in F1 23 when changing the XeSS presets. Intel and the developer are aware of the issue and a fix will be coming in a future game patch.
  • Streaming Dota 2 using XSplit Broadcaster may exhibit corruption in Game Capture mode.
Intel Core Processor Products:
  • Total War: Warhammer III (DX11) may experience an application crash when loading battle scenarios.
  • Call of Duty Warzone 2.0 (DX12) may exhibit corruption on certain light sources such as fire.
  • Conqueror's Blade (DX12) may experience an application crash during game launch.
  • A Plague Tale: Requiem (DX12) may experience application instability during gameplay

Mines been asleep for Jesus a week or more probably I wonder if it will wake up. I haven’t had any issues previously I wonder what the root cause is.

I’d already put a soon-too-be-discontinued ARC 770 Founders 16GB into a checkout basket. Thanks for posting the news @btarunr . If a crash happy ARC needs a power cycle to get out of screensaver sleep then it’s a no no from me. i have now removed said item from basket and will keep my nv quadro a little longer

This also happened with some NVIDIA GPU's some years back, not sure if it was with GTX 780 or GTX 1070. At the time a work-around was to put GPU at maximum power instead of "optimal power". They will fix it here at Intel as well... eventually I guess. :rolleyes:
