Payday 3 Open Beta Goes Live this Weekend

Anyone up for another beta? You guessed it, this weekend we'll run another technical beta of Payday 3. This time it will be OPEN for you to push our servers to the limit. Payday 3 is the much anticipated sequel to one of the most popular co-op shooters ever. Since its release, Payday-players have been reveling in the thrill of a perfectly planned and executed heist. That's what makes Payday a high-octane, co-op FPS experience without equal.

Second BETA
As you might've heard already, we're doing a second Technical BETA - in other words, a server stress test. Same build as last time—so no new UI or heists for now. We want to ensure that we have as few issues as possible ahead of our very imminent launch, so this test is meant to do just that. Between September 8th and 11th we're running an open BETA, just go to our store page, download the build and play.
Server Slam
Since this is a technical test so if you do participate in the BETA, we'd appreciate it if you'd help us put pressure on our servers by logging on and matchmaking all at once on Saturday, 9th Sept 1 AM CEST (Friday 4 PM PT) as well as Sunday, 10th Sept 6 PM CEST (9 AM PT) (check the times for your timezone here) until something breaks. This is the one time we ask you to help destroy our stuff, so please, take the opportunity!

For more information, the BETA FAQ and a handy time conversion for the server slam, check out the BETA site.

Keep those helmets flying!

I hope the playtest doesn't reflect the release, because it's kinda a flaming dumpster fire. Problems logging in, randomly dropped altogether by the server, poorly optimized stutterfest, completely broken heist planning screen, <MISSING STRING TABLE ENTRY> everywhere in binds, etc...

sounds like a typical blizzard release tbh.

Bug remember, its meant to be a server strain test, so problems logging in might be an indication of a problem there which is exactly what they are trying to find.
for the rest sure, lets hope its not that bad...but there is a reason everyone with half a brain would wait at least a year before buying a game, huge amount of advantages and the only thing you have to do in return is....idk be patient? play something different?

The client is exactly same version that was on closed beta which on the other hand was like early demo/showcase release for conventions. Retail release will be much better ofc.

Thou speaking about dumpster fire. I agree but not due beta being bad. Game itself has some issue with deep silver forced denuvo drm, fortnite copy assets, npc forced woke stuff etc... Thou core game play felt and feels solid and very good (shooting interactions etc). All the motion capture and movement/weapon handling etc improved the gameplay alot also. Making the core gameplay work is surely their strength. Could say it's even better than in some high tier AAA-titles.

That said. Starbreeze can sure make great game and put development effort under it in technical perspective. The issue relies more within forced marketing/drm control and assets quality in some part (atleast in beta).

(Just cant deal with this "unreal look fortnite/sims/cartoony face") And the way the are planning to make it monetized with all those anime waifus mogs running around with pastel colors. And overly loud female voice actors and characters.
