The Intel Core i5-L16G7 was a mobile processor with 5 cores, launched in June 2020, at an MSRP of $281. It is part of the Core i5 lineup, using the Lakefield architecture with . Core i5-L16G7 has 4 MB of L3 cache and operates at 1400 MHz by default, but can boost up to 3 GHz, depending on the workload. Intel is building the Core i5-L16G7 on a 10 nm production process using 4,050 million transistors. The multiplier is locked on Core i5-L16G7, which limits its overclocking capabilities. With a TDP of 7 W, the Core i5-L16G7 consumes extremely little energy. The highest officially supported memory speed is 4267 MT/s, but with overclocking (and the right memory modules) you can go even higher. For communication with other components in the system, Core i5-L16G7 uses a PCI-Express Gen 3 connection. This processor features the UHD Graphics 64EU integrated graphics solution. Hardware virtualization is available on the Core i5-L16G7, which greatly improves virtual machine performance. Additionally, IOMMU virtualization (PCI passthrough) is supported, so that guest virtual machines may directly use host hardware.
