For a brief moment you actually had me there ... I figured ME Second Edition was actually a "thing", something I missed. Like for example, I had no idea that 98 SE existed, up until someone brought it up years ago.

Win 2000 ... or XP maybe?
XP SP3 :D. The 5.01.2600 was the giveaway, and in quite plain sight no less lol

To tell you the truth, 5.01.2600 doesn't mean much to me, I don't understand MS code tags. But yeah, figured that it was either 2000 or XP.

No worries, I have the numbers saved in my brain for whenever I need them :D

  • 4.00.950 - Win 95
  • 4.00.1381.1 - NT4 RTM
  • 4.10.1998 - 98 Gold
  • 4.10.2222A - 98SE
  • 4.90.3000 - Millenium
  • 5.00.2195 - 2000
  • 5.01.2600 - XP
  • 6.00.6000.16386 - Vista
  • 6.01.7600 - 7
  • 6.02/6.03.9600 - 8 and 8.1

And that's where I stopped. 10 had so many revisions I didn't even bother.

btw it is XP with all the updates included. The thing is, it's been carefully mixed with enough 2000 and ME elements that it passes off as a very great WinME release lol
There's not much stuff left to tell it's XP - the only places it will show the XP logo is Checkdisk, the 5.01.2600 tag, and that's about it.

Very pleased finding this gem for the collection, and without having to break the bank, they're going for ludicrous prices on ebay. 30usd / 50aud for this beauty.

I specifically added the 01 (and subsequent zeroes) to keep the numbers similar to the one present on the ASUS desktop I had posted. The OS there is XP, and the 01 string was likely Reshack'd there, as XP does not show 5.1.2600 in System Properties (sysdm.cpl, not Winver.)

Someone on here said i had bent pins on the board ,my question is, Surely the analiser would not regester if any pins are bent?.Fans spin for a few seconds then goes off ,i took out the ram the analiser went to a different code then after a few seconds it went to the same code 67 68 .No bleeping from the the speaker.I just lest feedback on this board i got off eBay .The seller said he did not know if it would work.I left natural feedback because it does not work.I said in the feedback ,it is not your fault it does not work as you said you did not know.Because i put natural feedback.eBay asked if there was a problem.I can,t have a claim against a seller who did not know if it would work.

I remember the Z9PA. Had a client use one for gaming, surprisingly. He had his own custom waterblock made for it. Crazy stuff.

It's been a bit dry in here for a few days. This was given to me for free from a chap I sold a 440BX kit to.

I had that same CD burner back in the day, I remember it being picky of blank discs. But it was a great CD reader. Also I had it with a Pentium II-400 & GF2 MX setup. :D

edit: I could finally test all that DDR2 I have lying around. I'll just grab my P5Q Pro and run an E8500 at its lowest multiplier.

E6750 is what's under that heatsink, salvaged from a dead P5K, posted a page back. I also have a E8500, living on a MSI P45 Neo3 mobo though.
