The reason Fanatec is getting bought out by Corsair is because it is €70m in debt. So they either go under or get bought out. Looks like they chose the latter.
When my UPS took a shit last year, i found for my particular UPS that the replacement batteries were more or less the same price as a new unit. I just bought a new unit and called it a day.
Why do you only need a UPS for BIOS updates? You should have your computer plugged into a UPS regardless. It's dumb to invest in a UPS for the sole purpose of updating your bios.

Im not seeing that. I go to the microcenter website and the price is $349.99 and the only bundled motherboard they show on the page brings the price to $479.99 with a Gigabyte B650 motherboard.
Doesnt seem to explain why they are cancelling it. Sucks though as they have been cancelled due to covid from 2020 to 2022, had blizz con in 23 now it's cancelled for 24.
The only thing I can think of is it didnt draw the ticket sales that they expected last year due to everything going on...
