Did you try changing fan curve to make them work faster?

Ofc it's always good to have better fans, so less noise needed to cool to given degree. Go with Scythe Kaze Flex or be quiet! Silent Wings 4. If something cheaper, Shadow Wings 2 (ones slower, so more about decent cooling with low noise as priority) or Endorfy/SilentiumPC Fluctus.

And if your ambient really is 40C, it may be hard to achieve anything noticeable with case airflow. Ambient temperature affects temperatures of components and with 40C this impact is really serious (I would bet bigger than whatever case airflow).

@abdulhkeem Don't suggest with manufacturer's fan specs. Methodology is not normalised, so they can give whatever numbers. Especially in dBA regards when one takes measures from 20cm and other 1 meter or maybe 5.

If you don't mind the noise, most of the fast fans will do the job. Good fans (like ones I mentioned) are about giving the best temperatures on given noise level. That's mostly how fans differ, because any fans running fast will do the job - Pure Wings 2 are decent as such.

New Noctua 140 mm shown at Computex, will probably be the best ones.

Waiting for them is like waiting for Jesus Christ to come back ;)

Arctic, can't go wrong with them, amazing performance, quiet, almost the same as a Noctua for a fraction of the price. And they don't look like poop

But lowest quality and acoustic problems, if we talk about P14. I wouldn't treat this price range of fans seriously - ones for people wanting to buy a fan and not having any expectations besides it just working and being as cheap as possible.

The pure wings 2 are solid performers that push a good amount of air without blowing out your ears. I use the 120s almost exclusively in my client builds. If you want tons of airflow but low noise at low speeds go with noctuas ippc 2000 or 3000s. They are loud at full rpm obviously.
Corsairs ml120s move a lot of air but as soon as you mount them to a grill or rad they get loud af!

My first choice is be quiet! They're expensive, but super quiet, while not compromising on performance. They're also... not brown! :D

Advice to you @AusWolf and @Bomby569 : always recommend exact model of the fan, not just a brand. There's no brand having only the best fans on the market - some are worth buying, some not and what complicates subject even more, some work better for cases and some for radiators. E.g. coming from the ''the best" Noctua flagship 140mm fans, NF-A14, are today outdated - there are fans giving the same peformance way quieter. Saying like ,,Just buy Arcitc/Noctua/bequiet!" is just bad and typical for ones not knowing much in this regard ;)

Sure thing, but I'd need more info from OP for that, such as whether silence or performance is preferred, whether they need RGB or not, etc. I recommended be quiet! because you can't really go wrong with any of their models.

I stand by what i said. Artic are a great choice. I found no issue with the P14 and are a great value, almost same performance as noctua, almost as quiet as the noctuas and for a lot less money. I'm not trying to convince anyone, just gave my opinion. Not sure what was were issue with them.
And their AIO is also amongst the best.

In that case, the be quiet! Pure Wings 2, or Pure wings 2 High Speed would be my choice. They're even cheaper than the Silent Wings series that I use (because I prefer silence). :)

On the other hand, Arctic and Noctua fans aren't bad, either, like others have suggested.

Hands down the best 140mm fans you can get for noise/performance are the Noctua brown that they provide with their CPU coolers. If performance is it the mitigating factor 3000 RPM fan from Noctua is also great but loud at high RPMs. If you want good performance with excellent ARGB, Phanteks Sk140s are great. Arctic are inexpensive compared to more popular brands like Corsair and better with things like daisy chain. Silverstone make good fans but can be expensive. Do not buy cheap 140MM fans as if you do it right it can be the best experience in terms of noise/performance. If you do it wrong you will be lamenting paying for the noise.

My 140mm go-to has been the SilverStone FHP-141 V2 for years. Dual speed 171cfm max (they have a switch on them), double ball bearings and a great included accessories kit. They'll also mount to a 120mm opening. $26 each as of last night at Amazon. I've bought at least 100 of them and none has failed as far as I know.

Iceberg Thermal's IceGale 140 Xtra's are great... 169cfm each, I have them, and 120s, (127cfm), as well, in my case, and twin tower cpu cooler... They have the highest cfm rating of any I've found... Quality is fantastic, I highly recommend them... The black version is even on sale, at the moment, $21.99 for a pair...

Amazon.com: Iceberg Thermal IceGALE Xtra 140mm PWM Ball Bearing High Performance Case Fan ((2-Pack) Black) : Electronics
I just bought two of those to try out. With Prime I'll have them tomorrow. Cheaper than the SilverStone FHP-141's but they don't have all the extras either. 169cfm vs 171cfm but less than half the price. Worth giving them a shot.

I got it down to silent wings 4 and the pure wings 2 high speed i mentioned before, people on reddit say go for static pressure if you have dust filter and obdstructing front panel. Which one do you think i should get!

I have zero experience with either choice, but given that I changed out all case fans to Xtra's, (3 140's & 1 120), including swapping stock cooler fans to 3 120mm Xtra's, my stressed temps dropped from 94c cpu - 76c gpu, down to 71c cpu - 58c gpu, Gaming averages mid 50s cpu & low 50s gpu... I'd say they are highly effective, and well worth the price...

You won't be disappointed in them, as long as you don't mind noise level.... I love the resulting temps they've given my rig... Quite effective, IMO...

SW4 140mm is new but still quite expensive. If you wanna save a buck the Pure Wings look fine. Or try Arctic P14 if you don't mind a slightly dinkier frame/build quality (not that Pure Wings is much better).

The 140mm market is quite stagnant right now. There are a lot of newer modern 120s but the "new" 140s in the same lineup are always of an old and uninspiring blade design, eg. Silent Wings 4 and Toughfan.

No real 140mm innovation until Phanteks drops their T30-140 later this year, or Noctua brings their next gen 140mm shown off at Computex (still long ways away). Antec has a 30mm thick Storm fan out for a while but haven't heard anything about it and the blade geometry looks a little too low effort to truly innovate. It's not super expensive though.

The T30-120 is strong enough to match older 140s in some circumstances but not others, and it's really not a true replacement for a 140.
