hello

I have a Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R Rev1.
I was able to create my own edited BIOS by referring to various articles here.
It's a lousy note, but I'll share it in return.

1. You need to get CBROM155.EXE.
Versions newer than CBROM155.EXE are to destroy checksums.

2. Get the modified BIOS for GA-X58A-UD3R from this forum.

3. Get the original BIOS for GA-X58A-UD3R from GIGA-BYTE.

4. Extract modified BIOS the bin file for nvme.
CBROM155.EXE X58AUD3R.F8A /pci extract

5. Rewrite the vedor_id device_id in the bin file with a binary editor.
Diff the extracted bin files for the two nvme devices to see where you need to edit

6. add bin file to original BIOS.
CBROM155.EXE X58AUD3R.F8A /pci 1E4B_1202.BIN

7. flash the bios.

8. Built-in SATA chang to AHCI mode. Disable any SATA that can be disabled.

Thank you.

Hi, i have an EVGA x58 motherboard that i flashed with the modded BIOS 2022/EVGA X58 SLI3 (131-GT-E767) NVMe SSD BIOS MOD. I have a Samsung 980 NVME 1TB, but the BIOS doesnt see the drive. I assume it's because my drive is too new, and the modded BIOS doesnt support this samsung drive. Anyone know how to edit the EVGA BIOS?

@İsmailTPC_Hastanesi First of all I send a greeting and congratulate your great contribution to all of us who still have teams of several years, I think it's great that you can support us to give them a second chance.

I tell you...

Currently I updated the bios of my motherboard, to add NVMe SSD with the following MOD 2022/ASUS P6T Deluxe V2 NVMe SSD BIOS MOD (TEST OK) I must tell you that the update was successful and without any problem- only, that... the M.2 still does not appear in the bios, I suppose it must be added to the update.

For this reason, I contact you to request your support for the prompt solution in detail or the steps to follow for the detection of the unit in the bios.

the details of the mother and the m.2 are the follows.

MotherBoard
Asus P6T Deluxe V2

Please tell me how I can support you with a donation, your great support must be grateful.

I await your prompt response,
Greetings in advance.

Could anyone possibly asisst me with theses please? I tried to get a screen shot but for some reason my keyboard or windows will not take it, my apologies for this. I know you all are very busy if you get a moment I would be blessed by your help.

It is clear that the demands will never end.
Whatever:
I added a total of 20 NVMe SSD Modules for Asus P6T.
The bios file has been rebuilt for you.
But this is the end now.
Sorry I don't have time and I'm very busy.
This is not my only job.
I have a lot of work waiting for me.
I hope that you appreciate.

There should only be a stick installed in ram slot 2 on the motherboard. Other ram slots should be left empty. Or unplug or cancel any other connected SATA connections for now.
Lastly, your NVMe SSD might be problematic.
In short, this question has nothing to do with the bios.

These pictures were very helpful for ASUS P6T7 WS SuperComputer NVMe SSD BIOS MOD that you use extra.
I immediately confirm the ASUS P6T7 WS SuperComputer NVMe SSD BIOS MOD Line on the first page as Successful.
I wish everyone was as friendly and helpful as you.
Thank you for your support..
Sorry for my English :) :) :). But I didn't understand. Do I have asus p6t7 ws - and ssd nvme samsung 970 EVO Plus 2Tb (MZ-V7S2T0BW). Is it enough to download the BIOS and update it? Or do I need to prescribe the identifier of my ssd nvme?

I have three gtx480 video cards. United in three layers. Inserted in PCIE 16x. As far as I understood from the specification for the motherboard, there are 64 lines for all seven slots. Which are formed by two chips on 32 lines. 24GB RAM. and top processor 7i-985 extreme edition. Given such a load on the PCI-Express buses, will there be a decrease in speed with ssd?

I'm not upset! my English is bad. maybe I don't understand for this reason. I have a question. the bios that is posted on the site for the motherboard - is it ready to use? just put it in the bios? Or do you need to compile? One text contradicts another. Somewhere it says that download and update. And where is it written that you need to configure the identifier of your sdd. Therefore, I am interested in you, as a specialist in this field, is Bios ready for use? Or does it still need to be manipulated?

You have done a great job! Can I download bels for free and install it? Or do I need you to send your ssd id ? On the basis of which you compile the bios and send it to me? this is a paid service? How much does it cost?

just download it, flash and see if the NVME is seen in the bios after flashing.

Hi all, I just found this awesome thread but sadly I'm late to ask for help, seeing that Ismael has already finished all modding about x58 motheboard.

I have a Gigabyte GA-G1.Sniper X58 motherboard, unfortunately it has not been one of the motherboards modded by @İsmailTPC_Hastanesi.

My motheboard have latest BIOS updated by @Regeneration user, I´m running Windows 11 on a GPT partition in a HDD, no needing to use DUET or Clover for booting.

Does the fact that this motherboard is Hybrid EFI prevent from making the same BIOS modding?

Gigabyte GA-X58A-OC BIOS has already been modded with Samsung 980 PRO 1TB, it share the same Hardware id as Samsung 980 PRO 500GB, would it be possible to do the same with Gigabyte GA-G1.Sniper X58 motherboard or is this motherboard model not suitable for this type of modding?

Motherboard: Gigabyte G1.Sniper
SSD: Samsung 980 PRO M.2 NVMe SSD (MZ-V8P500BW), 500 GB

Hardware ids:

PCI\VEN_144D&DEV_A80A&SUBSYS_A801144D&REV_00
PCI\VEN_144D&DEV_A80A&SUBSYS_A801144D
PCI\VEN_144D&DEV_A80A&CC_010802
PCI\VEN_144D&DEV_A80A&CC_0108

P.S: Thanks to @İsmailTPC_Hastanesi for his great project and help for all X58 users and thanks to everyone who can help me in my case.

I confirm! Bios flashed through the programmer. Photo result! components are also in the photo! tell me - if you put the same M2 in another pcie 2.0 slot, can you combine them in the BIOS in raid0?

And also, can I fix something in the settings so that the results are better?

I had DfiLanparty UT X58-T3EH8, but sold it spontaneously while it was still a fresh system after water pump failed and I decided to work on core 2 duo laptop, which turned out to be not ideal and i needed a desktop soon anyway. Kind of regrated selling DFI, but I must say it is way easier to adapt nvme on a UEFI system than what i see at x58.

I figured out how to modify the bios, works but windows doesn't work unless I disable some sata3 controllers
this happens quite often, yes.

it takes some time, but always try to read older posts, it might help you, prevent bad results, or even, avoid catastrophic events :)

is there someone specific i should look for in the old posts? Do people describe how to have sata controller and NVME working at the same time?

reading the last 5 pages will take 10 minutes max.
depending on your motherboard, you'll find similitudes with the problem you're facing.
if you have a gigabyte, you'll find out that the raid, the sata3 controller, and another specific one, have to be disabled, leaving you with sata2 support.
most of the time you cant have sata3 and nvme at the same time in the bios, they override each other.
given that you now use a nvme, having the other SSD drives in sata2 is not exactly a big deal as they re supposed to be there for mostly static storage, even more in case of meca drives.

i have a UD7 gigabyte with something like 10 sata ports. i'm down to 6 of them, and i can leave with that. i might be able to re enable the E-Sata controller and get back 2 ports, but i dont need them. Activating the Sata3 controller immediately freezes my boot after drive scan, forcing me to : switch off the computer, remove the nvme drive, switch back on, access bios, disable sata3, save, switch off computer, plug back nvme, turn on computer, go to bios, setup nvme as boot device, save and reboot.

free advice : check that the lithium battery 3.3v on the motherboard is brand new, on old motherboard you might get a lazy battery, and you dont want to have to open you computer everytime you unplug it too long and the battery fails to keep the bios settings. happened to me when i went back from 10 days away from home, wasnt exactly a nice experience (my desktop case weights a ton, it s painful to move it and open it)

I should immediately point out that the NVMe SSD BIOS_MOD Files are Updated as "pure Bios Files" without the Need for Additional Hardware and Software such as DUET, Clover and REFIND.
No Additional Hardware or Software is required.
All you need to do is to update the motherboard bios again and insert your purchased or have nvme ssd drive and install the operating system as "BOOTABLE" bootable.
The content here has taken into account the BIOS Files,
"@Regeneration" for your contribution.
All Files Have Been Backed Up.

The BIOS MOD Files published here do not contain the Universal Module.
Because each X58 model motherboard needs to be added one by one NVMe_Module.
For this, you need to provide the X58 motherboard model and NVMe SSD Device hardware IDs you are using.
For example: PCI/VEN_144D&DEV_A809 it should be something like this.

All Bios Files Dates Reorganized to 2022 and revision numbers are upgraded.

This content will be a Guide for X58/1366 Socket Motherboard Users and I think we will continue to use these amazing motherboards for a while.
I hope it will be a useful topic.
I will try to respond to bios file requests as much as possible..
As of now, BIOS_MOD has been implemented on some motherboards.
Here, I will also present the motherboard models that I have received and have had successful results in TEST processes.
This content is extensible, open to different ideas and applications.
If I give an example from myself;
Although some Gaming Applications do not allow X58/1366 pin Motherboards, they are still useful and stable systems in my opinion.
You can request Nvme SSD bios mod for every Brand and Model X58 Motherboard you use.
°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°
I Completed All NVMe SSD BIOS MOD files for X58/1366 Socket Motherboard..
My Recent Works Are Below.
This Project Has Been Successfully Completed.
I hope this thread will benefit many X58 Users.
All BIOS MOD Files Published Here is a great work that I have created with my own great effort/patience and dedication.
My own special software has been used in bios file modification processes.
What others have said for "AWARD" bios modding;
"Sensitive modules cannot be changed"
The claim has been refuted with real evidence in this study, asserting the opposite thesis.
In short, AWARD bios or any different bios file can be modded and changed.
Each bios file has been handled one by one, and the bios files with successful results are marked.
The Module I used to support NVMe SSD drives in Bios Files was given as FALSE when it was released.
The NVMe SSD module was corrected by me and successful results were obtained.
Bios files that have not received "TEST OK" confirmation will be updated according to data from users.
See you in many more new projects.

If I give an example from myself;
What others have said for "AWARD" bios modding;
