Update my 3DMark Solar Bay score

yes, i got legendary… (on my hardware, but it is almost a participation trophy, because it is for my setup, it is not the fastest…) on an AMD 5700g ddr4 4000 16,16,16,36 (corsair vengeance off-the-shelf ram, no overclocking) (well xmp) in any case, a 5700g is just a steamdeck with 8 cores. (IMO)

(and yes, pictures or it did not happen… i have the steam award… i suppose i could dig through the 3dmark benchmark results stored on the computer… but great that i recieved the steam award… only 3 more award and i have 100 percent. (run after midnight, lunar new year, and run on new years… i don’t have)

you know just benchmarking, not expecting anything (it is obg, lol) then Lengendary pops up on the benchmark results. thought nothing of it, and just went benchmarking away. (on only have number 11 on the leaderboard for a “ obsolete” bencmark. and best i could do on a 7900xtx is 67th. benchmarking with 3Dmark is depressing, can not reproduce the best score… if you rerun the the same test immediately after…

and benchmarking a 7900xtx i get annoyed by the fact that you undervolt by 10mV and get .8 percent better, but it is unstable, (get good score on speedway, crashes on timespy)

was here before on this thread with lottery winners, but had to admit my defeat as I could not achive the 'Legendary' status with Time Spy. I got stuck @ the excellent 'excellent' status :roll:

. Mainly due to a very common system configuration as pointed out by Dr.Dro, too much competition.

Promised not to come back untill...., but after reading this post, I checked my scores online @ 3DMark and applied some filters. I discovered, despite not even getting close to the top 100 of the leaderboard, I'm still number 1 in my country.
So this is a legit reason for me to have an extra beer tonight :toast:

. Guess, we have AMSL, but we don't get the top notch chips here now I wonder if there is some sort of conspiracy

Not to hit on your scores mate, you're clearly dominating the leaderboards, but wow, I knew RDNA 2 was bad at raytracing, but I never had any idea just how bad it was.

I'd expect a much more modern SoC like Navi 23 with its 28 dedicated ray accelerators to at least do more than just about 2x a gimped GP104 running off slow as molasses standard GDDR5 like the 1070 Ti - and to make it even more vexing, doesn't have any ray acceleration capabilities at all. Just the software driver that Nvidia provides for Pascal and AMD refused to write for RDNA 1/GCN 5.

All the back in November 2022 when i had two reference RX 6700 XT's the main card was repasted and some thermal pads touching the backplate. The second card was stock and running PCIe Gen 4x4.

Just as good as the RX 6950 XT lol :peace:

Still legendary, but 6000 points down? CONFUSION!
Like the guy above me, I've not updated drivers in a while, so I'll do that see what happens.

Updated drivers from .7 to .9.2 and Blaeza got THIS run...
