Is Dragon Dogma 2 stable cos game looks fun despite outrage in reviews.

Super stable for me at 4K. I have said this before with all of the new Console/PC Games I have tried I have had no issues. It leads me to believe that most of the complaints are from Nvidia users. Is it fun? I am spending my Days looking for enough credits to buy my own house for $20000. Goblins are my favourite but make sure you watch for shadows as that could mean the Griffon. All you have to do is go off the road and action will ensue some huge enemies are easier than others and a melee pawn is a must, with a mage for healing. The Game is hard enough that even a pack of Wolves can drain your health. When a giant Werewolf runs off with one of your pawns you will know you are having fun.

the NVIDIA issue comes back each pre expansion + more issues for months, i recommend lowering your volume before clicking this link.
also Enshrouded is still having issues and its FSR2 implementation is awful i recommend playing with sharpness slider if you do not believe me.

FSR2 implementation i don't even think AMD is to blame for this one.

Intel would be so happy with me and all my bug reports, anyway i have list of known issues commonly reported among users since 24.3.1 and my own issues the list has 40 different reported issues, current drivers have almost no reported issues, its absolutely hilarious i have no idea what go's wrong with AMD driver team, cos they do fix many things without it ever being mentioned even once, and make changes and fixes that improve quality of life, still they should communicate better.
They should have an attitude pushing things thru to a point that it causes vac bans like anti-lag+ cases in counter-strike 2
So the way the implement features would probably end up being far more stable if they also cooperated with others in this case i feel AFMF would been even better if they cooperated with Microsoft, they probably doing something super illegal to make AFMF work.
Heck one bug i can drag from firefox an image into firefox and my PC will freak out and spam beeps as i move cursor, but if triggered this bug as well when exiting Diablo 4 for example, or when AFMF is enabled and i engage FSR2 when its not engaged etc which can even lead up to system freezes, so it has me super suspecious about AMD causing the discord issue as well that is technically easy to reproduce but can be hard to reproduce if not understood fully, cos i believe you have drag image then release it into discord and then it freak out.
While if you did same into steam store page it just open an page, which is why i am more leaning towards it being a discord bug.
Anyway if anyone remembers if explorer was active in background in certain area and you move camera it would suddenly switch to explorer ar random, i wonder if bug in discord is caused by something similar when disengaging and engaging FSR2 in diablo 4 with AFMF perhaps AFMF is hooking into explorer.exe and causing it to glitch in foreground.
Anyway im starting to sound like a crazy person now, i better stop here about this weird issue.

Btw the enshrouded issue corruption can also appear at different angles while looking up and down.
So if you look right direction it is visible at a normal angle, but if you look more left and right you have to look more and more towards ground for the shadow corruption to appear, so imagine not being able to reproduce that issue cos you look the perfect way cos at some point you cant look more down anymore and at this angle its not reproduce able technically speaking.

Third time lucky. My 7900XTX Powercolor Liquid Devil has gone under the knife again. I've tried a couple of extra things and deconstructed the cooler and this time I think I got it.

The card was originally sitting at or over 100C on the GCD hotspot. This is when I bought the card new. The edge temperature was fine, as were all other observations but after two repastes with Kryonaught Extreme and then PTM7950 that GCD hotspot was still not moving substantially. At the suggestion of Kouputer Plop I cranked the pumps to 70% and the fans to 1200RPM which brought it down to 95C but the differential between edge and hotspot really bothered me.

I started by removing and inspecting the cooler. Powercolor hides the fixings for the cooler behind thin aluminium plates (3) which are glued down over the cooler. Not fun to remove. What I saw was not pretty. The ridged cooling plate was clogged. It was gunked and calcified so I cleaned it as best I could with my trusty toothbrush and bit of soap. Bear in mind I've had this card for 6 months. I've used EK rust inhibitor all that time.

I then turned to the PCB. The most recent paste job looked okay but the PTM7950 was not at all easy to remove. I probably won't use it again on other projects for that reason but in this instance, I had some to use and it did slightly improve temperatures from the earlier applied Kryonaught Extreme. I also replaced the 1mm pads while I was at it.

I also had the idea to use thin washers for the fixings around the chip to ensure a tight connection. It seemed to me all the temperature observations for the card where fine except for hotspot so I wanted to be sure the chip was snug against the cooler.

I've only used the AMD stress test but already the card's behaviour is changed. At idle the edge is 22C in a 22C room with the hotspot at 29C. With the stress test edge is 38C and hotspot 67C. I'll let it settle in with a few extended gaming sessions. I'll be happy to do nothing more to fix this card. It should have worked this way from the start.

Can you tell us the dimensions and material of the washers? Do you think they were the responsible for the change of behavior from the GPU?

Anyway today i found an old issue from 3 years ago and decided to do research to my surprise i reproduced same issue.
so this means AMD is ignoring either bug reports or if you want to give them benefit of the doubt no one send a bug report, i really doubt users do not send bug reports for these issues.

anyway death stranding has eye artifacting it wont show up right away, may show up as faint flicker that gradually gets worse over time.

You could use a hairdryer to heat it up a little bit, should make it easier to wipe off.

They also include plastic spatula i believe you can use to scrap it off just be gentle do not want to scrape off something you do not want to remove.

Btw if the GPU block is that clogged you should check the CPU block as well, there is a good chance it's probably even worse, those have even denser fins. When I recently cleaned my blocks the GPU block was relatively clean but the CPU one did have some crud stuck on it.

go check use ultrawide trainer from pcgamingwiki to zoom fov onto head enough and wait least 2 minutes watch eye flicker progressively get worse, hitting F8 for photo tool to zoom onto head wont work, it only happens during gameplay or cutscenes.

reproduceable on any gpu 5600 XT and newer i recorded it on my 7900 XTX, if had this issue on the 6900 XT as well forgot about it cos of how bad the pc port is.

There is photo on my post showing them. I don't remember buying them but I'd guess 1mm.

I can see the CPU block and it looks okay. I have a Perspex top. Temps are good too.

I am really happy you got it sorted! Although, I have to say that your experience and that calcified image spot has made me scared enough I am never going to go water

Well I got dragon's Dogma 2 partly for the complaints about performance. It looks like my theory of getting better of the same hardware in the console has once again provided a smooth glorious experience that makes me just enjoy the Game for what it is. View attachment 341895

As to stability, it crashes every time I close the game (which is fine because I'm finished with it). Performance issues aside, the game is so freaking vast and immersive. The quests are naff but I can't stop exploring. If the performance issues weren't there this would easily be a GOY contender.

I am using Overlay to record the Gameplay. I noticed my first stutter on Friday walking through town. I have not noticed it since. I have no crashes myself. In terms of Gameplay, I thought the Griifon was a PITA but we got it to fly away. We were going on a mission and in the entrance to the forest was a Dragon with 5 health dots. I ran away as fast as possible and discovered a Cave. Too bad I did not notice the Giant Lion with a Goat head sleeping on the ground beneath me. While contemplating, a NPC pawn attacks it. I am still stuck on this battle, I did not realize it has magic remote bombs.

Been playing CP2077 the past week for the first time ever. Already 15+ hours in game.
Game version 2.12, latest AMD software.
3440x1440, high settings, medium RT, FSR quality and I’m very pleased with performance and quality.
With 387W TBP, avg FPS hovers around 85-90, no glitches or stutter or visual artifacts that I can notice.
If I cap framerate at 60 then TBP hovers around 300W avg with same smoothness as 90FPS.

Custom fan curve with zero ON and rpm avg is 45-50% (1850rpm) with peak at 55-60%.
Temps on Nitro+ are peaking at 76-78C with avg at ~72C (hotspot, VRAM). Delta peaking at 20C and avg at 15C.

Overall I’m pleased and enjoying the game.

Same here...
Monitor is a QD-OLED at 144MHz VRR on from adrenalin. And my gaming is slow. Cant notice real difference.

I was told recently that this is actually a per-person phenomenon. For example, I can definitely see a difference between 30, 60 and 90 very clearly, but anything beyond 90 looks the same to me. But i've been told by colleagues that they can tell the difference up to 180-200fps.

Ratchet & clank rift apart has whitescreen flickering if fullscreen effects are on, with RT high during puzzles or at random from really bad to only 1 or 2 frames every minute in specific areas.

As long animation speed is really fast you can see a difference while eye tracking the ufo if you cant and its showing same blurriness on both 90 fps and 60 fps for example your monitor is probably being really bad, the difference in blurriness is is the difference in smoothness basically, higher refresh rates can render higher animation speed without making the ufo blurry while tracking it with your eyes cos it updates more often then something at low fps.

I am a 7900 XT user, never had a single issue either.
That said if I had 12GB less like you do I likely would have a lot of issues too. 8GB is not enough for a 3070Ti.
