I just purchased a Ardiyes RX 580 graphics card and it has a 6 pin power connection. I was wondering if it was standard. I see most have a 8 pin connector

It looks squeaky clean, it also came with a little USB thumb drive with the drivers on it, I hope it works. These Chinese counterfeits get weirder and weirder by the minute
No, it's not normal, but it's some franken build made off mining scrap on some hardware recycling sweatshop in some Chinese backwater, if it works, it works, if it doesn't, bin it and buy a card from a reputable vendor like Sapphire, Powercolor or Yeston - better yet, go team green.

Thanks, I do toThey usually just reuse the GPU core itself, sometimes the memory chips (assorted condition). PCB is "new", although not necessarily built with good quality components or intended for that exact GPU core. It's a mess, really. But I hope it works for you
Took up close picture of gpu, seen this on outer part, AMD M779x.00Update
Took the heatsink off and took pictures of the PCB. Looks like two memory chips we're added and can't read what's on the gpu chip.

No, those werent added. They put hot glue to prevent solder joints beneath the memory chips from breaking.Took the heatsink off and took pictures of the PCB. Looks like two memory chips we're added and can't read what's on the gpu chip.
That number is not the part number. The part number is located in the red square:Took up close picture of gpu, seen this on outer part, AMD M779x.00
Is it a RX 580 ?From what I can see, the gpu part # is Z15-0276406

I think 215-0876406 is written on the GPU. Its a Polaris chip which are often used on RX 470 mining cards and on Chinese RX 580 2048SP cards. From what I can see, the gpu part # is Z15-0276406

wait, you bought something like this and you expect finding the right bios and trying to reflash it to get it backI just purchased a Ardiyes RX 580 graphics card and it has a 6 pin power connection. I was wondering if it was standard. I see most have a 8 pin connector
I'm pretty good with computer stuff, not so much with graphics cardsWith the right help, I hope too

To provide you the correct bios we first need to know which memory is on the pcb. At this moment I recognize it only as Hynix. With the right help, I hope too

Some legitimate brands use glue on the memory chips or GPU for some cards tooJesus Christ this one is probably one of the worst counterfeits I've ever seen I cringed irl when I saw the hot glue in the memory chips
