Greetings, today I have for sale a perfect condition ASUS ROG Ally Z1 Extreme that includes the full retail box with the ROG stand that is actually a very handy free addon and I'm also including a Belkin USB Type C hub that features 100w pass through charging capability, HDMI out, and 2 USB 3.0 ports that makes connecting it to a monitor or TV super simple and allows easy use of keyboards, mice, controllers or USB sticks while still being able to charge the Ally and use it at it's full turbo TDP setting. I'm also including a 100w USB type C power brick for use with the hub. Of course it includes the free 65w charger that ASUS provides, but that charger is not enough to power the Ally at full TDP while using the hub. As I said the ROG Ally is in perfect condition, not a scratch on it and with very little use. It's been updated to the latest BIOS and drivers and works flawlessly.

Specs for those that don't know:

AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme

Zen 4 CPU with 8 cores/16 threads
RDNA 3 GPU with 12CUs 768 stream processors
16GB 6400Mhz DDR5
512GB NVMe SSD
120Hz 1080p display

SOLD

I'm interested in this, just curious what am I looking at here? The white square is the ASUS power I am guessing? How do I use the Belkin for full power? It terminates in type c so where does one get the 100w from? Is the white usb c cable rated for 100w? Then how would I get it to run at max wattage, do you have to go into BIOS and turn it on, or is it part of the ASUS software once on the desktop?

The white square is the 100w power brick. To use the Belkin hub you simply plug the included type C cable into the hub from the power brick then the hub into the Ally. It’s as simple as that. The hub allows power transfer to the Ally and also provides a HDMI output along with 2 USB 3.0 ports for additional connectivity while using it.

Additionally you can use the hub without the power brick connected if for whatever reason you wanted to set up a portable game station to connect a mouse and keyboard to play some games and didn’t want to use the Ally’s built in controller. I can see some RTS games definitely play better with MnK than controller for instance.

The ASUS power brick is still in the box and is black. The lighting makes it hard to see but it’s in the top picture. I only ever used that power adapter if I wanted to just play the Ally while charging it like when sitting on the couch or whatever.

Edit: one min, I’ll upload a picture so you can see how it connects.

Here’s how it connects: as you can see the the black power adapter is the 65w ASUS charger that comes in the box. While it can indeed power the Ally to full TDP by itself, it cannot do so with the hub and will limit you to 25w unless you use the 100w brick.

ty for picture. free bump - I decided I will pass on this as I don't need anything this powerful, just seeking a little dedicated emulation device.

GLWS I do think it is a good deal
