Suddenly hear coil whine from (i believe it was GPU) Amd RX5700. switched to linux no coil whatsoever, tried other resulations/refresh rates/freq-voltage under windows coil whine remains. May be motherboard or something caused whine idk.

choosing Balanced mode over Atlas Power Plan fixed the noise.

I think this is a case of "it hurts when I do this, doc"

Generally, the answer is "don't." Without knowing how AtlasOS changes the base OS that's all most of us can advise.

The most effective solution for coil whine is to enable VSYNC or limit the game FPS to a rate that the GPU has less difficulty with.

You usually hear coil whine when the GPU is 100% loaded. If you let the GPU generate less FPS, it will have to work less hard and it will make less noise.

Thanks! i will stick with the Balanced mode, im not gaming on windows anymore. Forgot to mention for this case i was heard coil whine when system sitting in idle. Yeah i get the idea of what causes coil whine, my older RX580 was kinda mad about loads and gets loud.

full custom stripped to the bone isos. mostly for gaming though
I mean yes best way to remove bloat is disable things in windows image editor software's. These days I don't play games often. How many minutes/hours to do customization like overall?

tbh builded hackintosh recently (for coding). And reinstall means ''what was that password for this site?'' this pissing me off. And i know apps or extensions for this case but idk why should i trust them?
