Who makes a frame kit to direct die mount my Heatkiller IV on delidded 14900K/Z790 motherboard?

I feel like if you're delidding you should just kinda know this stuff already, like you're out there on the bleeding edge.

That said, other than complete DIY you don't appear to have any options with that block.

If you can find something 12/13900k from Heatkiller it should work. You may have to hit them up.

I think all the direct die mounts come with the waterblock. You'll have to CNC your own.

If the block doesn't come with it's own frame you're probably not gonna find one.

It looks like the icemancooler one is correct as to 13900K/14900K compatibility:

I had an icemancooler external res, pretty solid stuff. But I have no idea if their direct die frame has peculiarities designed for only their own waterblock, or if it's universal.

I've heard good things about icemans block and direct die kit but I'm pretty sure you can't use the frame with a Heatkiller 4 without modding/replacing the base like ir_cow mentioned earlier.

I would definitely need the 1700 backplate https://shop.watercool.de/HEATKILLER-IV-Backplate-INTEL-1700.

But, if it is anything like the 1151 mounting I have now with the RockitCool kit https://rockitcool.myshopify.com/collections/9th-gen-cpu/products/10th-gen-direct-to-die-frame, should it not work? they both basically replace the ILM, leaving the die exposed, correct?

Anyway, I ordered the Iceman die guard off AliExpress for ~$30.

The Heatkiller IV, despite it being a good block is not really 'state of the art' anymore.

You could save yourself a lot of trouble and might want to consider the solution of Thermal Grizzly.

Don't know what the prices are, might be a costly alternative but a least you have some choice.

The iceman block is lower or stepped down to fit into the frame isn't it or am I seeing things? Not entirely unrealistic at this point as I haven't slept in a couple of days lol.

Yes, the Iceman block does have a recess that fits over the CPU and frame.

However, I am attempting to re-use my Heatkiller before purchasing another block.

Ordered parts today, should have all end of next week. We shall see how it works out.
