Hello everyone,

I’ve had this really small issue in file explorer where the text that is not currently in the frame stretches. I have only ever noticed this on my laptop. Running Windows 11 23H2 with all drivers up to date. I’m really just curious what the cause might be and if anyone else has experienced this?

I’m not an expert on the driver side of things. The driver devs from AMD, Intel and NVIDIA have a lot of bad things to say about WDDM.

Vista’s WDDM was a disaster. But we’re in Windows 10/11 now and the WDDM code hasn't changed much since Windows Vista.

Windows 11 WDDM is certainly lagging behind Linux (Wayland).

If you want your images to always be pixel-perfect, it is best to switch to a Linux system with KDE Plasma, GNOME, sway wm, Hyprland, river wm, ... and you can use Wayland.
