It seems that for some time, we run into members not knowing how to use these features, so I figured it may be easier to write something up so that the moderation and TPU members could have a point of reference to guide new users to, when the issue arises.
For the purposes of this tutorial, I will be using posts from our Forum Guidelines section. https://www.techpowerup.com/forums/threads/forum-guidelines.197329/
Editing a post is quite simple! Any post you have made, there is a link in the bottom-left corner of said post, with the word "Edit" in it. I have marked its location with a red arrow!
This allows a member to not only go back and correct any information that they may need to add at a later date, but also allows members to fix any grammatical errors or factual errors after the initial post is made. The time limit for editing a post is not infinite! If you wish to edit a post, mainly a thread starting post, past the time limit, report it! We can/may unlock qualifying threads.
The multi-quote feature is one that seems to be illusive to many, so let's try to simplify this! We will use this pair of posts for our explanation.
You will find the Multi-Quote button in the bottom-right corner of any post made at TPU, and the number of posts to be quoted is unlimited as far as I am aware. I have marked the feature with a red arrow.
This works much like the Reply button, but with one major change. When the reply button is pressed, you are auto-magically taken to the reply box with the post already quoted and ready for a text reply after the last of the [ QUOTE ] tags. When using the Multi-Quote, there is another step to be taken first.
You will notice that just below the reply box, there is a new addition of "insert quotes". Once pressed, a smaller window will appear, which allows a chance to review which posts are being quoted, and if the correct posts are quoted, you then click on the "Quote These Messages" box, which I have again marked with a red arrow.
Once that step is done, you are ready to reply to the quoted posts, as the reply box will have entered the comments of those you wish to reply to. Simply add your replies into the open sections between the QUOTE tags, and once completed (which I have done in red text to help clarify), you hit the reply button (highlighted with a red arrow),and the job is done!

No need to quote/reply everything, and then manually delete unwanted text within the quote.
