Intel doesn't seem to sell their cards on Latin America, and Amazon doesn't have them at all at MSRP prices. Does anyone know of a way you could get them around here?

Just wanna mess with one of them, but it's honestly been borderline impossible to get one around here. Was gonna import one from Amazon (simplest way around here) or AliExpress (also simplest way around here, and they launched them in China first I believe) but there's literally nothing that's not either price gouged or silly.

Does anyone know why Intel doesn't sell cards around here, and/or why they don't sell them in Amazon either? Do they only sell them in the US and Europe for now?

Benchmark Scores I dont have time for that.
I can only speak from a non-manufacturer perspective. But when I worked at a datacenter I would have to prepare my backup machines for shipment and hand them off to another team.

I remember we setup a region in sao paulo, and were sending the first machines to what was at the time an empty space. We pulled out around 4 months later though, before the rest of our fleet was even done being shipped.

In my case it was brazil not Chile, but the reason for the pull out was that technology is CRAZILY taxed for import an operation. It literally was not cost effective at all to do business there. The taxes in some cases were more than the worth of the pallet of machines we were sending.

That compared with the interest for products at the time it just wasnt worth it to expand in that region.

Yeah import taxes and taxes in general around Latin America are silly. I paid $94 tax on my 6700 ($330). I'd honestly eat the tax and buy it from Amazon anyway, but they somehow don't sell it in Amazon either at decent pricing. That or I just can't find them.

Ya llegarán, Chile y Brazil son los únicos países donde puedes conseguir tecnología hecha en esta década, el resto no tiene salvación.

Update: ARC A750 is now MSRP ($249) in Amazon, so it is kinda tempting. Well... if import tax + shipping wasn't another $100 lmao. Maybe if shipping was free on this one :p

I really like my A750 so far. Played a couple of hours of Forza Horizon 4 on it last night. It might be a hard decision if were $350 though.

I understand about the import taxes. We have family/friends in Ecuador that we bring iPhones and other things to them when we visit. It costs them a fortune to buy them there.

Yeah, to be fair if shipping was free I'd probably have bought it. I'm used to the tax being silly otherwise. I wonder why the A750 shipping costs money while the A770 one is free, lol.
Amazon usually has free shipping to here if product is >$20.

The novelty of having a card probably no one else has here and doing tests and stuff with it would be kinda neat.

The shipping charge is strange. I just checked and the A750 is available here with free shipping for $249, but the A770 is listed over MSRP at $392. Both shipped and sold by Amazon.

That's was my main reason for choosing the Arc. I had one PC that needed a video card to be complete so when the price dropped it was a good fit for a test machine.

It's this listing, right?

The issue with the shipping cost is that the import tax is also inflated because of it. Pain.
