Does such a beast exist?

To clarify: I'm looking for an adapter for a 5.25" bay that lets you mount a 3.5" device and which is meshed in the redundant space.

Thanks for your input, but I'm not looking for a generic 5.25" to 3.5" frontpanel adapter. Rather I'm searching for one where the unused space is meshed. No idea if one actually exists. I've been doing some research and came up empty, but that doesn't mean such a thing isn't out there.

As for what I might want to add is something like this.

I know the Antec 902 and 1200 cases came with such an adapter, though those are practically ancient now. They are out there, at least! Surprised Amazon doesn't seem to have any, at least from a quick search.

Yes, that comes reasonably close to what I'm looking for. Would be even better if it were a bit more "meshy".

Hi,
You can always make one out of what ever type of "mesh" you prefer.
I'm mean lots of older computer cases came with removable bay inserts.

The 5.25" bay covers on the HAF XB Evo are probably more to what you're looking for. In the picture below you can see a 5.25" bay in use and the covering on the one below it.

If you could find something like that, you could probably cut out the area you don't need with a dremel tool. Just an idea.

I was trying to find just a picture of the bay inserts themselves, but I don't feel like browsing through tons of images in hopes of finding one. Also, I'm not at home to take a picture of them from my XB Evo cases.

The problem is, I need more than just a cover. I need to be able to mount a 3.5" device in it. Otherwise, great idea. If only I hadn't 11 thumbs.

Edit: I see there's more than just the cover for the CM690 as can be seen here. Now, where to find that set...

Take a moment to search at i.e. Thingiverse.com. There are some. Also for 3,5" drives inside a 5,25" slot. The downloaded stl can be modified in Windows easily with MS 3D Builder (free) as you wnat it.

I did want to have a slotcover with Darth vader on it. No problem. Downloading a suitable part and change it within a short time.

I bought an anidees full tower case. Buut a hell of things haven't been like i want it. So i changed some things. My Dremel and my 3D Printer has been my best friend. Right now i have to invest first in other things (Mobile, tablet, new 3D Printer) to substitude broken items. Directly after i will continue on building my rig. It will be finishind within this year.
