hello there, im seeking some suggestions/ideas for my fan configuration in this case.
this is my current configuration:
2 120m intake front fans
1 exhaust fan that is taking the air out of the case just like in this picture.
im using an air cpu cooler not water cooling.

spec of the rest:
cpu: ryzen 5600x
cpu cooler: hyper 212 black edition non rgb.
motherboard: b550m aorus elite
gpu: rtx 4070 asus dual

i can add more fans if needed i have some stored but it would be nice to know the proper placement for them if required.
thanks for your time!

That's fine honestly, keeping directional airflow in tact is a good thing.
The fan(s) on your 212 will guide what's coming from the intakes out the back for a +pressure setup.

Focus on the fans themselves (upgrading them) if you want to increase performance further and find a balance of noise/CFM that works for your needs.

Two in for one out with the three bundled fans is ideal.
As your Invader has a solid panel in its front, I'd put the two front fans on the side mount pulling air in. Quite the same effect, less blocked path.

i currently have these 3 fans instead of the 2 that came with the case:

so you saying its better to use the side panel for the intake fans instead of the front?

i was actually thinking of adding 1 more fan as exhaust using the top panel, but not sure if its ideal thats why i havent done it so.

I use an almost similar setting:

Both front and side pulling air in (the fans on the side are a reverse flow model, so I don't look at their back), top and back exhausting it.

We're I only to use front and back as bundled with the case, the front glass panel restricts airflow too much.
As is right now, pressure inside the case is a bit balanced, proven by the dust not building up too much.

ah but in your situation your case has front glass panel so the airflow from that area is not really good, thats why you added the side as well.

man i want that cpu cooler you have i love deepcool aesthetics.

Is a solid metal front that different from a glass one?

I mean, your Invader has a gap on the sides between the front panel and its anchoring, but it's still indirect restricted airflow.
My Level 20 MT has only two slits on the sides of the front glass. I admit it's more restrictive, but the point is both their front panels restricting while the side mounting not so much.

yeah, the restriction on this one can be even lowered if i just remove the front metal panel and leave it like that but then it wouldnt look better due to obvious reasons then again better air flow if i do so.

Didn't notice that front panel was blocked off there, good call - I'd go w the sides too for the front intake.

yeah it does have a panel that blocks air unless you remove it, the question being though:
should i replace the location of the front panel fans and just place them on the side or add the side ones with the front already there as well? wont that create a vortex if i do this though?

Yeah just move them to the side intake, doing both would just create turbulence.

You got that right. That is why on my PC. I used the side as an exhaust for my CPU AIO.

yeah but in your scenario you used a cpu aio, which you either place on top or side.
since im using air cooler this might changes a lot.

The top is reserved for the GPU rad. I also have lot's of storage so the chipsets run warm as well. When I had my X570S I had to put a 40MM fan on the chipset heatsink. The X670E E Strix is a much heavier board so they are in the high 60s and low 70s now.
