Went from 1Gig back to 100 for now, it was fun but I didn't really need 1Gig and the 100 download speed will be upgraded to 200 next month at no extra costs, in the end I save 16 EUR a month.

Yeah, I'll be going back down from my 500 Mbps connection as well, it's just too much extra for something I don't really use. Had it been a smaller price difference, I would've kept it, but it just doesn't make sense. In my case it's closer to €30 difference, but at least I have a symmetrical connection.

I only went from 100/100 to 250/100 because it was a 29SEK difference. The I noticed all prices on that net had dropped, so I will go back to 100/100 soon (299/month, 250 is 349/month).

Well I can get 300/60 with the coax I have but the saving per month is only £2,30 / 2.68 eur / 2,88 USD a month and that's not really worth it to me.

Because this sounds like if there is problems with 1000 down well they have the 300 now as a backup for those customers.

Just be happy, because I can get Norlys but the central in my area have capacity problems so I get like 700 up and down to Norlys' own network but outside to everyone else max 200 this is just not acceptable.

Great price! An introductory offer?
Nope.. in Denmark almost every Internet provider can deliver 1000/1000 (Fibre) and 1000/100 (COAX) so they all compete in having the best prize :)

So here in Denmark we do not complain cuz fibre is almost rolled out in all of Denmark :) and i've had fibre since 2004 :D

almost every person in denmark can get 1gbit for that prize

Just be happy, because I can get Norlys but the central in my area have capacity problems so I get like 700 up and down to Norlys' own network but outside to everyone else max 200 this is just not acceptable.
Damn that's totally unacceptable.. here i denmark i get 900-1000 up/down no matter what server on speedtest i use

You can call it unacceptable Norlys don't know what to call it other than shut up and pay.

Norlys doesn't have any plans of expanding/changing out the central in my area anytime soon so I am locked to coax if I want more than 200/200mbit outside of Norlys' own network which ain't really fair to play the price for fiber.

So I am sticking with my coax 800-900/65mbps running on Global Connects backend because it not only gives me great speed but also good peering to the rest of the world something that Norlys also lacks I know that after experiencing a 500/500mbps running 580/580mbps 24-7 suddenly after the connection dropped to 200/200mbps all hours of the day and back then they didn't knew it and I didn't care to buy their overpriced fibre anyway so I terminated the contract.

Well I don't know if you heard but Norlys is consuming Stofa so it will stop to exist I guess running their own and Stofa side by side doesn't make sense but they never do when they don't invent in their fibre and blames the Danish goverment that everyone needs access to the fibre.

I really wish every isp would use the Genesxis FiberTwist like TDC does for their XGS and other fibre areas makes more sense than need to have tech onsite when the fibre box stops working, with the FiberTwist just ship out a new module with power adapter it's easy also if the module needs upgrading it's not like the fibre cables needs a upgrade to run 1, 10 or 100gbps it's more the equipment in both ends.

Nice download speed, not so nice upload speed. Also, outdoors only.

Nice download speed, not so nice upload speed. Also, outdoors only.

LOL.

Your 'not so nice upload speed' is about 12Mbps better than I get with my 1Gbps/40Mbps down home internet that costs $119/mo. :shadedshu:

I really loathe assymetric internet providers. Have had cable for a bunch of years, so I know the pain.

You can have my upload speed of around 6mbps on average right now..... I think I hate you and your upload speed.

Okay, I don't hate you, but I do have Comcast/Xifinity and their crap upload speeds. If you're paying top dollar for their 1GB plan or so to get their best upload speeds (which I think is still just a paltry 35mbps) otherwise you're stuck where I am, 5-10mbps.

Daim!

I pay US$17.50 a month for 20 GB of data, free calls and texts, rollover data, "free" roaming inside the EU and some other countries and 75 minutes worth of international calls.
Even on LTE I was seeing speeds of around 170 Mbps down and 30 Mbps up.

The US is really terrible for mobile data, or WiFi for that matter. A few years back, I got stuck at DFW because AA decided to delay the flight by over 12 hours. It was cheaper for me to use roaming on my phone, than to pay for hotel WiFi... :banghead:

from 2005-2015 12/1 adsl to 2015-2023 30/10 vdsl to finally now fiber.

wanted to install and preload some games quick for my days off work so went for 1G for now, good thing Telia charges per day if you change your fiber speed, so its ~2,32€ per day for 1G.

lets hope i have the strenght to change it back to 300/300 tomorrow..

A YEAR!

Mine is 70/18 for £40 a month
Yeah, internet connection in Russia (in Ukraine, to even greater extent) is very cheap. On the other hand, getting paid 500 quid a week is uncommon here.
