Could be. I'm seeing articles saying "Probably improves performance during extended randomread segments", "Theoretically improving performance during extended high-thermal times", "possibly improved game loading times for sequential read requests", etc, but haven't found anyone specifically running a full-on gaming-series test both with and without the utility installed.All of it sounds like useless bloatware as the drive performs up to specs without installing any software.

and last year, even tom's says the thermal management would be beneficial. Not found an update from them yet....
