TPU Android app.

Hey, just a little inquire about the app.

I cannot install it because it was made for an older version of android.

Does anybody use the app? Can you access everything like the website?

Or is this not a thing?

I use it, I migrated it from old phone via backup/restore, am currently on Android 11 on the new phone. Old phone was Android 9.

App seems fully functional to me.

As a rule of thumb I deliberately use the oldest Android I can get away with as upgrading tends to cause more problems than it solves.

I have an S23 Ultra. Has the latest android, I keep it up to date.

PlayStore simply just says it doesn't support my newer version.

But I don't have any issues with android or the phone either.

IIRC W1zzard said once it's just linking straight to the TPU website so it's not really an app (anymore)..

It probably just opens in a default browser on your android device...

Haven't use that app in years , didn't know it was still available in the Play store...

It pops up occasionally on this website as an advertisement. So with curiosity.... It won't work on my phone anyways lol.

There's nothing an app would do better than a browser would. The reason many sites want you to use apps instead of browsers is tracking and ads.

(stuff that rely on notifications are better as apps, but generally websites are better, also xkcd)
