I don't know which Mobo to get now to avoid problems like this
My Asrock b650e Steel Legend has been rock solid since day 1. Highly suggest that or something from MSI.

Depending on the games, some dip into the 30s and 40s
Not too shabby. Recently picked up a 49" ultrawide 5120x1440p and replaced the 2 27's. Went ok with the 3070 ti but i have a 7900 xtx on the way.

I got used to to Asus feature called Q-Release. Ez GPU swap. I'm surprised that other brands didn't apply that. So sad.

I think some gigabyte boards have a similar feature.

It does seem really nice though.

The B550 version with a 5800 OEM with Crucial Ballistix Gaming Red 3600 32GB kit with W11 has been running with no issue since 2021, I never updated the mobo bios either, just booted right up, set XMP/AMP/DOCP and that was it.

hello

i'm coming back with my issue, i need better mobo than Asus, Intel NiC 225 is so bad, its plague already on market. Now i would like to switch motherboards

There is 2 options with Realtek NiC

1) MSI B650 Tomahawk WiFi for 210 euro but i heard lately bios from MSI not good and bad quality, (maybe im wrong and last bioses from them are perfect)
2) Asrock B650E Steel Legend WiFi for 280 euro,

MSI seems has good an price/perfomance offer

Which one to get?

Thank you for help!

I prefer MSI board.

i had bad experience with Asus too, but mine is Asus ROG B450f Strix. i build with AM4 Ryzen 5 3400G in early 2022. 3 days after its broken. the issue is the PC is on and its going black screen, cannot do anything, have to restart manually ( by power off and on again ). Bring back to Asus store and after they are checking the board, the board is dead. After this im avoid to using Asus product anymore.

Now im use MSI X570 Tomahawk Wifi, its solid board until nowadays im pairing with Ryzen 7 5700X. its running flawless.

It’s worth pointing out that a USB 2.5GbE NIC is easy enough to source and is typically cheap. I have a QNAP QNA-UC5G1T USB 5GbE NIC connected to an old QNAP NAS and it works fine. The 2.5GbE NICs are probably like ~$20 USD or maybe ~$25 USD.

BTW, my ASRock B650E PG Riptide WiFi motherboard has been fairly rock solid. The release BIOS / UEFI had some issues but after the second or third update its been perfect. FWIW, the ASRock B650E PG Riptide WiFi motherboard has a Killer E3100 2.5 GbE NIC And it’s never given me a moments worth of trouble. I will say that most of the ASRock boards in this price range seem very similar though:

When the 7800XT video cards were released I upgraded my old video card for one. The motherboard’s included video card support bracket really came in handy there. The ASRock Phantom Gaming 7800XT is a heavy card that will definitely sag without some kind of additional support.
