Oh man those NPCs must be swallowing flies all day long gaping like that
Oh that's nothing really, knocking potentially hostile NPCs off is par for the course in Bethesda games.
When you start surveying planets, its a good exercise in learning the periodic table of elements. Who'd have thought space exploration can be so educational!

Too bad you didnt spend it on the Gog version, its portable and this game is offline anyway

I considered that, but my friends are playing through Steam and online co-op is the primary reason I got it (already have other games I'm playing on my own, otherwise I would have held off).

Apart from playing Sons of the forest on LAN with a friend (unoptimized POS performance putting a toll on his laptop, as well as my second rig, but we'll try to finish the story), trying to enjoy HFW, compared to really enjoying HZD (the story and dialogue writing really went down in quality compared to the original, getting hard to go trough convos, so I selected one of the languages I don't speak for audio and reading Eng subs... Also the lighting is terrible), FH5, MSFS for occasional driving and flying relaxation.
I've tried No man's sky two days ago. Played whole day yesterday, already running AMUMSS with a dozen of mods mainly for some QoL... So yeah, Bethesda can f**k off, this game has more of that Morrowind vibe than anything they've made ever since. And the jank, bugs, terrible UI, feeling lost all the time (no maps haha), some microstutters here and then- are all on par with their best. Except FPS figures on ultra settings. ;) Future plans: GTFO and Satisfactory on LAN.

Telvanni style hut.

And IDK what is wrong with the Adrenaline screenshots, but it doesn't preserve the original picture quality.

After a weekend of Redout 2. I decided to use my 20% off Humble to get Dragons Dogma 2. All I can say is wow. This is a better, prettier and harder version of the original. I was doing a quest and heading to the next town. I had to kill a minotaur. That took several kills. So good we can get to town now. Well not 3 minutes later a huge Werewolf takes one of my Pawns and runs away. I chase it to get my pawn back and here comes the battle. During the battle it gets dark and the only time we can see the Werewolf is when 1 if my 2 Mages lights it up with fire. All the while we are by a cliff that has a river beneath it. My health gets really low and I run away. The Werewolf chases me and I jump away to have it fall over the cliff. Thank you 3000 XP. Ok let's see if we can make it to town now. Well at 25% health we run into a pack of brigands. As far as Gameplay goes it is butter smooth and I get a consistent 100+ FPS unless it is a cutscene. Would I get this for a friend? Hell yes.

Well I was able to use my Pawns to defeat the brigands while I was stuck at 10% health. It was harrowing walking behind while they dispatched enemies. I finally make it to town and deliver a letter that I totally forgot about. Then I am walking around town and a NPC asks me to stay at their house for a week. So I do 7 sleeps and at the end she offers to sell me the house for $20000 but I only have $13000. Well let's head into the forest (In the Day time only) and kill some Goblins, Wolves and another Giant Werewolf. This time another group of NPCs helps and we dispatch the Werewolf. All of a sudden there is a huge shadow on the rocks, I look up and it is a Giant Griffon. We run away as the Griffon lands to eat the remains of the Werewolf. Excelsior.

It has been 30 years since i have last touched NES. I've decided to replay all of my Nintendo childhood games on a PC, via online emulator: Jackal, Blaster Master, Ninja Turtles, Chip and Dale, Contra, Goonies, Jurrasic Park etc.. I won't bother with ''racing'', ''basketball'' or 'wrestling'' stuff, just with the continuous single player games.

The fact that you can save your progress in these retro games online now makes this a wholesome new experience, playing without tension. I have managed to beat some of these games without saving in the past, like all kids used to do, but i realized i can not do it any longer at this medium man age... It's crazy to think how much harder NES games actually are compared to today's games where you get auto-saves...

But you'll miss the tension of 'did the NES switch off?' when you left your game paused overnight.

As an 8 year old kid, you don't have an option/luxury to pause the game overnight. You get 3 hours to play computer games at the maximum, and that's on a weekend day only, because you know, parents limit your general time spent by the TV, so you have to make the best of that time! Then, when i was 10, and parents were not around at home so much anymore, i sometimes would return from school in the morning hours and play till evening - that's how i've got to actually finish some of those NES games for the first time ever.

I was around 9 when I got one, but I had my own TV with both in my room, so I had the option to do that. I always was an outdoor/athletic kid, so I limited my own time indoors. I had a few times I came back to the screen flashing red and black, so I got familiar with the concern of progress loss.

Just screenshot with Windows (supposed to be high quality PNGs with your PrintScreen key) or if you want to spam some discords or any other platform with screens, Greenshot is a good free software. I tried ShareX and I prefer Greenshot (you can choose how heavy a screenshot is converted from a PNG to a JPG with ShareX or anything you decide with Greenshot). If you got NMS on Steam, your F12 key is supposed to print a good PNG too.

What I dislike the most in NMS is you just can't do everything with a buddy in your party. Only the "host" (the party leader) can progress in the missions. I didn't see any patchnote correcting this and we played with a friend last year, it was a pain.

Here is the same screenshot I shared but in JPG, saved by Greenshot when I pressed my PrintScreen key, for you to know the PNG is 6,5Mo and the JPG is 2,8Mo and I cannot see any difference xD the invisible data I guess (maybe transparency ? The PNG seems to be a bit more darker in some areas) :

Yeah its hard not to spam screens from this game, its beautiful in general and I'm often stopping around while playing the game to look at the scenery and whatnot.

I still only have ~20 hours played in the game since I like to take my time but so far I enjoy it the same as HZD. :)

Yeah its hard not to spam screens from this game, its beautiful in general and I'm often stopping around while playing the game to look at the scenery and whatnot.

I still only have ~20 hours played in the game since I like to take my time but so far I enjoy it the same as HZD. :)
I'm currently playing through HZD so I can start into HFW with a fresh memory. I can't wait. :)

Thats probably not a bad idea, I've played and finished HZD in late 2021 so my memory is a bit rusty when it comes to character names and whatnot in the story.

I replayed all the Metro games metro redux and right now Metro Exodus dlc sam's story as i have all ready completed main story.

After that i will return to some zombie killing. I have a few games i haven't completed yet. So its time to do that. Dead Island 2, the last of us part 1 and Dying Light 2. Specially Dying Light 2 i think will be more fun now with the gun update. Yes i missed guns in that game and was one of the reasons why i dropped it for a while, but guns are now in it. So time to complete it.

I'm gonna get that 5000xp if it kills me (or the car).

Seem to remember...

I used the Lamborghini FE which shortened the run up distance and time getting back for another try. Once you get a feel for aiming it makes guaging distance simpler than a lot of other vehicles I tried.
