What can I replace an elevated switch such as the one on the Pulsar Xlite 2 with?

I want to buy a Pulsar Xlite if the Middle switch is replaceable. Techpowerups' review speaks of an "elevated switch" and I wonder if that's a special kind of switch or a regular one on top of some kind of holder.

From the photo provided it looks like a standard switch in a socket, but without being able to see the switch removed it's just an educated guess. It could be soldered or welded in place.

The switch can be seen next to the mouse wheel in this image. The blue "tipped" switch. It looks like a regular mouse button switch, just raised up. Question is if it is socketed or soldered directly to the pcb. But either way it is replaceable, a soldering iron might be required.
