what to choose Palit or Aorus?

Today i sell my MSi 1080Ti Gaming X,and I want to buy 2080Ti graphic card, and i must choose between 2 different brand: Palit or Aorus.I want to choose Aorus, but i heard this card is stay only in 80-81 degree in full load, and this high temp is worries me a little. In my knowledge any gpu should stay at max 70-75 degree under gaming full load. .
I don't have money for 30 series or 40 series.I found these 2 model of card at acceptable price.Aorus is a bit expansive +40 $ more than Palit.
What to choose ?

this

or this

I don't know what to choose, and time is pressing me because i must choose in max 2 days.
thanks in advance

Aorus - the cooler is chunkier and it has an extra fan so should equal cooler.

The only real reason why you shouldnt choose Aorus apart from the price is Gigabyte is terrible to deal with when you need their help.

The seller gave me a print screen in gpu-z with Aorus spec and program gpu-z said is support only dx 12 features level 12_1.In my knowledge all Turing card should support ray tracing and mesh shader dx 12_2 ultimate. So this Aorus support only DX 12_1?

I check on their site and this card support only dx 12_1? Some 2080Ti card support dx 12_2 because i saw this. But another 2080Ti support only 12_1?I don't understand nothing

I normally don't mind gigabyte products as a whole ( I like my mobo and psu) but the only gigabyte gpu I ever had (a 3070) had major and ongoing overheating problems ( needed a fan curve so aggressive idle started at 80%, an undervolt and regular repasting just to keep at somewhat acceptable but still high numbers. The biggest problem was the delta, it would grow and grow until I repasted it again, never figured out the source of that problem.)

Plus I keep hearing about their pcbs breaking right around the pcie bus (or was that only the 30 or 40 series? I can't remember). Anyway I don't know much about Palit but lets go with that.

It could also be because he's using a version of GPU-Z from 2019. That version of GPU-Z could have been bugged and read or displayed incorrectly. Occasionally it does happen.

So long as youre running windows 10 and above. You should be fine. Windows 7 does not officially support DX12 although Microsoft has a small handful of games that will run DX12 on Windows 7

Hi,
Pretty sure the gpu's are eol so giga wouldn't be helpful just for that reason
But yeah giga's not on my buy list for new stuff either hehe

I'd get the Aorus and drop the clock speed to that of the Palit card if the temps are bothersome or adjust the fan curve a bit on it because it's probably just not set quite aggressively enough out of the box at least with the modest bump to clock speeds relative to stock or that Palit card. It's nicer looking and has another fan plus the other factor is it's got a lot more outputs as well which can add value to you or someone else down the road if you flip it Fleabay, Facehook Marketplace, or Craigsnest later.

Where are you buying from? If its through ebay for instance you can pay with paypal, using a credit card. Then you have three layers of protection if there's something you don't like about the card like its too hot or w/e.

Usually the ebay claim works but if it doesn't, make a paypal claim, which should work but if it doesn't call your credit card company and make a claim with them. The chances all 3 would be denied is soo incredibly low, unless of course you have a history of scamming or something.

Anyway just trying to say its a lot safer than buying off the street. You can always change your mind if you aren't happy with it, so don't stress too hard.

the sellers of Aorus gave me short video with graphic card.He told me he repasting gpu with thermal grizzly paste and in heaven 4.0 stay in 73 degree, and sometime go to 80-81 degree.
80 degree is not a dangerous zone?MAybe his case doesn't have a good airflow?I just ask.I am a bit restless and nervous about 80 degree temp.IF stay at 73 is ok...but 80 im scare
On the other hand Palit sellers doesn t have time to share at least a screenshot with gpu-z information....

Btw why do you have to make decision within 2 days? Now it seems the aorus card has been tampered since it needs repasting and the palit card owner is reluctant to share info…. I’d skip over both of these cards… red flag if you ask me time to look at some other gpus

Don't know if you saw my post above, about my gigabyte 3070. Even with an undervolt, and with fans on max or close to it, it would still get to 80 under heavy load on a good day, with a hotspot of maybe 91-95. On a bad day if I hadn't repasted it in a while, it could get as bad as average 88 - hotspot 105. It still worked, it never degraded or throttled to a noticeable degree. But it was loud and those kind of temps def made me feel uncomfortable. I eventually learned to live with it. But I would certainly think twice about getting another gigabyte gpu.

If I were you, I would see if I could get a hotspot temp while running heaven or something. 81 as an average isnt all that bad, in the higher end of normal perhaps. BUT if there's some kind of uneven pressure that makes a certain part of the gpu 20 degrees hotter than that, its different.

And dont forget, if its ebay... easy to return if you aren't satisfied.

Doesn't look like he has the side panel on so it shouldn't be anywhere near 80c.
Pass/ next.

I have an Aorus 2080ti and the cooler design is awful. The fans would ramp up to 100% and then back down again in an almost infinite loop while gaming. No software program could prevent it with a custom fan curve. I had to dissemble the cardf and reapply thermal paste to correct the issue. I did not overclock the card at all, and the case had plenty of ventilation. I have had Palit cards in the past and had no issues that I can recall with them.

i already choose Aorus.I hope it lasts as long as possible.
I run demanding game like Alan Wake, and with70-80% FAN set in Msi Afterburner i have between 50 and 78 degree.Another thing this Aorus when have temp between 40-and 50 degree it boost to 2010 and even 2040MHZ by default,i no manual overclocking. When reach 70 or 78 degree is set to 1980 or 1965mhz.
Why it automatically boost so much?I ask because default clock in gpu-z show only 1350mhz
I mean this Aorus Xtreme is a monster....2010-2040 mhz boost wow !!!!

That's normal for any GPU these days.
The cooler it runs the higher it will boost.
