The GeForce GTX 860M OEM was a mobile graphics chip by NVIDIA, launched on February 5th, 2015. Built on the 28 nm process, and based on the GM107 graphics processor, in its N15P-GX-A1 variant, the chip supports DirectX 12. Even though it supports DirectX 12, the feature level is only 11_0, which can be problematic with newer DirectX 12 titles. The GM107 graphics processor is an average sized chip with a die area of 148 mm² and 1,870 million transistors. It features 640 shading units, 40 texture mapping units, and 16 ROPs. NVIDIA has paired 2,048 MB GDDR5 memory with the GeForce GTX 860M OEM, which are connected using a 128-bit memory interface. The GPU is operating at a frequency of 1097 MHz, which can be boosted up to 1176 MHz, memory is running at 1253 MHz (5 Gbps effective). Being a mxm module card, the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860M OEM does not require any additional power connector, its power draw is rated at 75 W maximum. This device has no display connectivity, as it is not designed to have monitors connected to it. Rather it is intended for use in laptop/notebooks and will use the output of the host mobile device.
