ASUS has added a new addition to its TUF Gaming series of monitors, which goes under the model name VG34VQL3A. The new monitor is a 34-inch ultra-wide model with a WQHD or 3440 x 1440 resolution. ASUS today rolled out the TUF Gaming VG30VQL1A, a curved ultrawide gaming monitor that's closely related to the VG28UQL1A the company released in August 2021. As its name suggests, this one is a 30-inch. It comes with some impressive specs, including a 1500R curvature, 2560 x 1080 pixels native resolution, 1 ms MPRT response time, 200 Hz refresh-rate, ELMB, AMD FreeSync Premium, and HDR10, covering 127% of the sRGB palette. It uses a VA panel, and its other specs include 300 cd/m² maximum brightness, 3000:1 static contrast-ratio, and flicker-free brightness adjustments. Display inputs include two HDMI 2.0 ports, and a DisplayPort 1.2a. A 2-port USB 3.0 hub makes for the rest of it. The company didn't reveal pricing.

MSI has announced another entry into their Optix MAG monitor lineup. The MAG342CQ makes use of a big, 34" VA panel with UWQHD resolution (3440 x 1440) that offers up appealing specs for a gamer: 144 Hz refresh rate paired with a (rated) 1 ms response time and a comfortable, not too aggressive 1500R curvature. The inclusion of Adaptive Sync (which means support for variable refresh rate technologies) helps add to its gaming pedigree.

Brightness however takes quite a dive o this particular panel, as its typical luminance apparently sits at a mere 250 nits. Despite that, the VA panel enables a contrast ratio of 3000:1, with good color coverage (DCI-P3 89.48% / sRGB 112.2%). I/O is assured by 2x HDMI 2.0, 1x DisplayPort 1.2 and 1x earphone jack x1. No time to market or MSRP was available at time of writing.

MSI today announced another entry into their MAG monitor lineup in the form of the MAG272CQP. As the name implies, we're looking at a 27" affair packing a WQHD resolution (2560 x 1440). The panel is a VA type (as implied by its 3000:1 contrast ratio, although at a basic 300 nits maximum brightness), and has a curve ratio of 1500R. The monitor supports VRR (marketed as FreeSync Premium), and 165 Hz refresh rates with 1 ms response times.

I/O is (generously) assured by 1x DisplayPort 1.2, 2x HDMI2.0, 2x USB3.2 Gen.1 Type-A, 1x USB3.2 Gen.1 Type-B, 1x USB Type-C (DisplayPort Alternate), and an earphone jack. no word on pricing or actual release date was available at time of writing.

AOC today launched another addition to their gaming monitor lineup in the form of the AG323QCX2. This particular entry from AOC features a 2560 x 1440 8WQHD) 31.5" panel with a VA pixel matrix, which will ensure fast response times - as shown by the 155 HZ refresh rate and 1 ms response time. To support that refresh rate, the AOC AG323QCX2 features support for VESA's VRR (FreeSync). With a contrast ratio set at 3000:1 and a 1500R curvature, this panel looks like a competent solution for users who are looking for 1080p+ resolutions but don't want to bring their graphics cards to their knees with 4K resolution (a reality that is still common, even with the latest (unavailable) GPUs from AMD and NVIDIA.

The AG323QCX2 also features support for VESA's HDR 400 standard, with a typical luminance announced at 400 cd/m² (and HDR10 support). Color technology-wise, we're looking at a a good 99% sRGB color coverage, and a great 91% coverage of the DCI-P3 color spaces, with a calibration that ensures a Delta-E < 2 value, which opens up this monitor's usage for photo and video editing. I/O is assured by 2x DisplayPort 1.3 and 2x HDMI 2.0 (limiting its usage for the latest-gen consoles), 4x USB 3.2 downstream ports, 1x Mic-in, 1x Audio Out, and 2x internal 5 W speakers. Quality-of-life wise, the monitor features inclination, rotation and height adjustments, a 75 x 75 mm VESA mount, blue light filtering and flicker-free background lighting. The monitor comes in at a hefty 7.2 Kg (sans stand). No information on pricing was available at time of writing.

MSI today introduced the Optix MAG301 CR2, a 30-inch ultra-widescreen curved monitor with 1500R curvature, WFHD (2560 x 1080 pixels) resolution; and a list of gaming chops. Built with a VA panel, it offers 200 Hz refresh-rate, 1 ms (MPRT) response time, AMD FreeSync Premium support, 178° viewing angles, and 3000:1 static contrast ratio. Among its connectivity options are USB-C (including DP passthrough), DisplayPort 1.2a, and two HDMI 2.0 inputs. Specs aside, the Optix MAG offers the full suite of MSI Gaming innovations, including OSD Gaming (gaming overlays), and presets suited to specific gaming genres. The company didn't reveal pricing.

These monitors include the 60.5 cm (23.8") models C24G2AE and C24G2U as well as the 68.6 cm (27") models C27G2AE and C27G2U.
