Acer Readies the Aspire Z3-600 21.5-inch All-in-One PC

Acer's Aspire lineup will soon be updated through the release of the Aspire Z3-600, a 21.5-inch all-in-one PC running Microsoft's Windows 8. The upcoming system packs a 1080p panel with 10-point multi-touch capabilities, an Intel Pentium J2580 (quad-core) processor, 4 GB of RAM, a 750 GB hard drive, Harman Kardon speakers, a webcam, a pair of USB 3.0 ports, an HDMI output, a stand that tilts up to 90 degrees back, and even a battery that will deliver up to 2.5 hours of operation.

The Aspire Z3-600 is coming out this month priced at $779.

Acer Aspire R7 Notebook Gets 4th Generation Intel CPU and Active Stylus Support

Acer America today announced the immediate availability of the new Aspire R7-572, the second generation of Acer's revolutionary notebook that redefined the touch and type computing experience through its unique Ezel-Hinge. The Ezel-Hinge allows the display to flip, reverse, lie flat or float above the keyboard to maximize usability.

New features include a 4th Generation Intel processor for increased battery life and performance, more memory and a larger hard drive. And continuing to deliver the best touch and type computing experience, it also includes support for an optional active stylus pen and a new set of apps called Acer Touch Tools that make using the touchscreen easier and more productive.

Acer Releases the Aspire ZC-605 Windows 8 All-in-One PC

Acer America has today announced the latest addition to its PC offer, the Aspire ZC-605 All-in-One. This new model runs Windows 8 and features an LED-backlit 19.5-inch (1600 x 900) display, a 1.9 GHz Pentium 2127U processor, 4 GB of RAM, a 1 TB hard drive, and a SuperMulti optical drive.

Acer's AIO also packs a 1 MP webcam, 802.11n WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity, two USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0 ports, one HDMI port, and a 2-in-1 card reader. The Aspire ZC-605 costs $600 and should become available through Amazon shortly.

AMD Expands Elite Mobility APU Line-Up With New Quad-Core Processor

AMD (NYSE: AMD) today announced a new addition to its 2013 Elite Mobility processor family, expanding the options available for anyone seeking crystal-clear HD entertainment, power efficiency, and accelerated performance in small screen touch notebooks, tablets, and hybrids. The AMD Elite Quad-Core A4-1350 accelerated processor is the second quad-core accelerated processing pnit (APU) in this category, with an estimated average power at or below 3 watts for many common use cases. The new APU is expected to begin shipping to customers in October, 2013. Other AMD Elite Mobility APUs are available in systems today, including the HP Pavilion11 TouchSmart and the Acer Aspire V5.

Acer today announced the launch of the new 13.3" Aspire S3 Ultrabook at Computex Taipei. Acer Enhances its Flagship Ultrabook, the Aspire S7

Acer presents the next-generation 13.3-inch Aspire S7Ultrabook at Computex Taipei. In addition to retaining the celebrated characteristics of the previous model, the new S7 Ultrabook has improved battery life for all-day computing, a refined electroluminescent (EL) backlit keyboard for more natural typing, and 2nd generation Acer TwinAir cooling with less fan noise. In addition, it is equipped with wireless display (WiDi) technology for big-screen entertainment and productivity.

Acer Also Debuts the Aspire V5 and V7 Series Notebooks

At a press event held today in New York, Acer unveiled an updated and slimmed down Aspire V5 Series of notebooks and also introduced the powerful new Aspire V7 Ultrabook. The new V Series represents Acer's largest and most versatile line of mainstream notebooks with numerous models available in a variety of colors with varying screen sizes, resolutions, with or without touch and with varying performance and graphics capabilities.

AMD Brazos 2.0 Powered Acer Aspire Pictured

Here are some of the first pictures of Acer Aspire E1-421, which caught the eye of a shopper in Asia. Its most distinctive feature is AMD E1-1200APU "Brazos 2.0", driving the machine. Ivy Bridge-powered Acer V3 Start Shipping This Weekend

Revised Acer Aspire S3 Pictured

Acer Debuts the Aspire Timeline Ultra M3 15-inch Ultrabook

The new Aspire Timeline Ultra was first unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas last January; today Acer showcases the new Aspire M3 of the Timeline Ultra family, at the CeBIT tradeshow in Hannover, Germany.

Ultrabooks to Make up 25-35% of All Notebook Sales in 2012: Acer

Just to give you an idea of how big an impact Intel's Ultrabook form-factor will have on the portable computing market, OEM major Acer's chairman JT Wang says that in 2012, just the second year of prominence of the platform, Ultrabooks will make up 25-35% of all notebook sales. In the first quarter since launch, Acer's Aspire S3 sold about 250,000-300,000 units. Despite uncertainty in the European market and slow sales expected in the US, Acer finds markets such as Brazil, the Philippines, Thailand and other Southeast Asia to be the prime-movers of growth for this platform.

Acer Readies the Aspire Timeline Ultra Laptops

The Aspire S5 ultrabook may be set for a Q2 arrival but Acer has something slim and portable for Q1 too, the Aspire Timeline Ultra family of mainstream notebooks. These upcoming 14-inch and 15-inch laptops are just 20 mm thick and pack an Intel Core processor, SSD/HDD storage, a slim DVD writer, Dolby Home Theater v4 surround sound, HDMI and USB 3.0 connectivity, plus a PowerSmart battery that will last for up to 8 hours per charge.

Like the S5 ultrabook, the Aspire Timeline Ultra models feature the Acer Green Instant On and Acer Always Connect technologies. And like the S5, these notebooks have not been priced.
