Transcend's Next High-Performance M.2 NVMe PCIe Gen 5 SSD Spotted

We were passing by the Transcend booth here at Computex 2025 when our curious eyes and rapid camera spotted the "yet to be announced" Transcend MTE260S M.2 NVMe PCIe Gen 5 SSD. This is the next-generation high-performance M.2 SSDs that are capable of reaching speeds up to 14,000 MB/s (reads) and up to 12,500 MB/s (writes) thanks to its 3D NAND Flash memory, and the Silicon Motion controller (presumably the SM2508 series) aided by a DRAM cache. Other than that, for the moment, we only know that Transcend plans to offer models from 1 TB up to 4 TB capacity with the same graphene heatsink design seen on previous Transcend 2000 M.2 SSD series; the rest of the technical specifications will be known soon once the company makes its official announcement. The product will likely be aimed towards gamers and content creators.

Team Group Previews T-FORCE AIO Cooler for CPU and M.2 SSD

During day zero of our Computex 2025 coverage, we stopped by to see what Team Group had on display. For AIO water cooling enthusiasts, there were some interesting solutions. On display, we saw Team Group's T-FORCE 120 mm AIO cooler daisy-chaining three M.2 waterblocks. It is a bit overkill for M.2 SSD, but given the power output of modern PCIe Gen 5 NVMe drives, it is necessary to use active cooling to maintain smooth read/write operations. Instead of traditionally relying on SSD's own mini fan, this uses a full waterblock to absorb the heat. Available in its own standard pump/waterblock/radiator combination, it will allow workstations that do a lot of intensive data operations to go smoothly without worrying about potential drive throttling. Team Group also has a 360 mm radiator version, which combines a CPU waterblock and an M.2 waterblock, yielding massive heat dissipation potential for any platform.

ASUS Strix Ace XG248QSG 24.1-inch Super TN Gaming Monitor Boasts up to 610 Hz (OC) Refresh Rate

ASUS has unveiled at Computex 2025 show its new ROG Strix Ace XG248QSG gaming monitor, featuring an impressive 24.1-inch Full HD (1080p) Super TN panel capable of reaching up to 610 Hz refresh rate in overclocked mode. Alongside its exceptional refresh rate, the XG248QSG delivers ultra-low input lag of just 0.8 ms that is 2.25x faster than its competitor (under 600 Hz) On the response time the monitor is capable of achieving a rapid 0.1 ms response time via ASUS's GameFast Technology. As we can clearly see this monitor is aimed at competitive gamers and esports pros putting speed and quick response first while still giving good visual quality.

The monitor uses ASUS's Extreme Low Motion Blur 2 (ELMB 2) technology, which reduce the motion blur while keeping brightness levels up to 65% higher than similar technologies from other brands (ASUS says). Moreover, despite using TN panel the display gives good color covering with 90% of the DCI-P3 range. The ROG Strix Ace XG248QSG also has some handy design features, like a base that's 30% smaller to save desk room and adjustable ergonomics. Exact pricing and availability are yet to be announced.

Maxsun Arc Pro B60 Dual 48GB Graphics Card Hands-on

Here are some of the first pictures of the Maxsun Intel Arc Pro B60 Dual, which as its name suggests, is a dual-GPU graphics card. This card comes with a pair of Arc Pro B60 chips, each with 24 GB of memory, for a total of 48 GB on the card. The card is a 2-slot, full-height, and over 30 cm-long beast with a lateral-blower based cooling solution. It draws power from a 600 W 12V2x6 power connector. Both GPUs on the card have their own set of display I/O—one each of DisplayPort 2.1 and HDMI 2.1b, on the rear I/O.

Internally, the Maxsun Arc Pro B60 Dual lacks a PCIe bridge chip. Since the "BMG-G21" silicon has a PCI-Express 5.0 x8 host interface, both GPUs are connected across the x16 gold finger, and rely on PCIe lane segmentation at the host level. This is precisely how M.2 NVMe riser AICs work, where they split the x16 connection among the four x4 M.2 SSDs. The primary use-case of the Arc Pro B60 Dual 48 GB is AI inferencing, and its board is designed to help you stack up to four of these cards in a workstation for 192 GB of video memory for AI models to span across. PCIe Gen 5 offers certain cache coherency features Intel introduced with CXL 1.0. Tying it all together is Intel's Project Battlematrix inference workstation platform.

ASUS Showcases Its Updated Gaming Laptops at Computex 2025

ASUS presented at Computex 2025 its complete updated gaming laptops series that features NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060/5070 graphics solutions with the latest Intel and AMD CPUs. The ROG Zephyrus G14/G16 and ROG Strix G16/18 alongside ASUS TUF A14/A16/F16 gaming laptops were showcased at ASUS's booth and are expected to hit the stores soon, giving gamers powerful up-to-date portable solutions to fuel their gaming passion. The ROG Zephyrus G14 gaming laptops are equipped with AMD Ryzen AI 9 270 processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 GPU, 16 GB RAM and 1 TB SSD. All those are packed in a slim form with just 1.5 kg weight and 1.6 cm thin. The ROG Strix G16 & G18 gaming laptops offer Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX or AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX processors, NVIDIA GeForce RTX graphics, up to 32 GB RAM, and ROG Nebula Displays with 240 Hz refresh rates.

The TUF Gaming A18, TUF's first 18-inch laptop, comes with AMD Ryzen 7 260, RTX 5060, up to 16 GB DDR5 RAM, 1 TB storage, and a 240 Hz screen with 500 nits brightness. The TUF Gaming F16 and A16 features Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX or AMD Ryzen 9 270 processors respectively, with RTX 5060/5070 GPUs, 2.5K 165 Hz displays, and up to 32 GB DDR5 RAM. The ASUS TUF Gaming A14 is a compact 14-inch gaming laptop featuring up to AMD Ryzen AI 7 350 processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 graphics. It sports a 2.5K (WQXGA, 2560x1600) IPS display with 165 Hz refresh rate, up to 32 GB of LPDDR5X memory, and storage up to 2 TB SSD. The laptop includes a wide range of connectivity with USB4, USB-C, USB-A, and HDMI 2.1 ports, Dolby Atmos audio and a 73Wh battery. It weighs just 1.46 kg with a slim profile under 2 cm thick, and features a white backlit keyboard with a redesigned air intake that helps the cooling.

Intel Announces Arc Pro B50 and B60 Graphics Cards for Pro-Vis and AI Inferencing

Intel at the 2025 Computex unveiled its Arc Pro "Battlemage" line of graphics cards powered by its latest Xe2 graphics architecture, and based on its 5 nm BMG-G21 silicon. The Arc Pro B50 is targeted squarely for professional visualization and graphics workstations; and comes with 12 GB of memory. The Arc Pro B60, on the other hand, has 24 GB of memory and has additional use-cases in the area of AI inferencing. Unlike AMD and NVIDIA, Intel is going to market for its Arc Pro B-series with board partner-based custom designs. These partners include ASRock, Gunnir, Maxsun, Sparkle, Onix, Senao, and Lanner.

As a pro-vis solution, the Arc Pro B50 series comes with a comprehensive set of certifications and validation by leading content creation applications. Intel is working on bolstering its AI inferencing product stack, with the debut of the new Project Battlematrix Linux software stack, and workstation platform, which enables up to 8 Arc Pro GPUs with 192 GB of memory between them, for accelerating 70 billion+ parameter models.

ASUS ROG Falcata is a 75% Split Layout Keyboard with ROG HFX V2 Magnetic Switches

At the Computex 2025 booth, we checked out ASUS's latest keyboard offering: the ROG Falcata. ASUS touts it as a thoughtfully engineered tool for gamers and creatives who demand precision. Visually, the Falcata's 75% split‑layout immediately stands out, inviting a more natural hand position and reduced wrist strain. ASUS has paired this ergonomic design with detachable silicone wrist rests, so you can fine‑tune your setup for marathon sessions. But the real magic happens beneath the keycaps. ASUS's brand‑new ROG HFX V2 switches employ Hall‑effect sensors to detect actuation with an astonishing 0.01 mm accuracy. That translates to virtually zero debounce time and flawless, lightning‑fast input registration. The Falcata's acoustic profile is refined by a layered damping system, ensuring each keystroke feels solid yet sound‑muted.

On the connectivity front, the Falcata offers dual‑mode flexibility. Engage the ROG SpeedNova 8K wireless link for an ultra‑low‑latency 8 kHz polling rate, or plug in via USB‑C to eliminate any potential lag. Beyond basic settings, configuration lives in the cloud: Gear Link, ASUS's new web‑based portal, stores your profiles and lighting schemes online, so you can pick up exactly where you left off—at home, at the office, or at a tournament. A dedicated "Zone Mode" further enhances competitive play by optimizing key matrices and virtually eliminating ghosting, no matter how frenetic the keystrokes become. And, of course, per‑key RGB lighting lets you customize every detail. ROG aficionados can expect the Falcata on shelves in early July 2025.

ASUS ROG Astral RTX 5080 DOOM Edition Isn't Just a Sticker Job

ASUS at the 2025 Computex showed off the ROG Astral RTX 5080 DOOM Edition graphics card. If you've been paying attention to the company's ROG Astral Dhahab Edition cards lately, you know that ASUS is on a spree releasing custom variants of the ROG Astral series. Much like the Dhahab Edition, the DOOM Edition isn't just a sticker job, ASUS put in effort to customize the color of its cooler shroud, and other body panels. The card commemorates "DOOM: The Dark Ages," which released late last week. You can see sticker artwork from the game on the backplate. The cooler shroud is in a color scheme matching the aesthetic of the game. Decals of the Slayer shield takes up the fan impeller hubs. More interestingly, the aluminium fin-stack heatsink has a reddish copper-like finish. This is a different shade from the gold ones in the Dhahab Edition, and the silver-chrome ones in the regular ROG Astral cards. Shown at Computex is the RTX 5080 DOOM Edition. We've tested the technical aspects of the game, and can tell you that the RTX 5080 can max out the game at 4K UHD, so it's unlikely that there will be an RTX 5090 DOOM Edition.

ASUS VGA Innovations at Computex 2025: RTX 50-series Noctua Edition, Flexible BTF

ASUS at the 2025 Computex showed us a few of its latest innovations in custom-design graphics cards. To begin with, the company unveiled a flexible BTF (backside cabling) solution. If you recall from the RTX 40-series BTF cards from ASUS, they all came with second gold-finger for power, which made these cards unfit for regular motherboards, as the power gold-finger would obstruct something on the motherboard, such as a PCH heatsink. With the RTX 50-series BTF cards, ASUS recessed the power gold finger such that the card has the dimensions of a regular card, and can be powered by its 12V2x6 power connector; but on motherboards with BTF capability, a breakaway power gold finger riser can be attached, so it behaves like a BTF card, letting you unplug the 12V2x6—quite genius.

Next up, ASUS unveiled the RTX 50-series Noctua Edition, with the debut of an RTX 5080 Noctua. You see Noctua cooling innovation blend more closely with ASUS design, the card no longer looks like something with an aftermarket air-cooler strapped on. This is still a large 4-slot card, but no longer 5-slot. The heatsink features many of the design innovations Noctua introduced for its CPU air coolers. The heatsink fin-stack has cavities in which the FDB fans are recessed into. The card appears slightly larger and heavier than the ROG Astral air-cooled.

MSI Graphics Cards at Computex 2025: TwinFrozr II Retro, SUPRIM TITANIUM, and More

MSI at the 2025 Computex brought several new innovations to its graphics card product stack. To begin with, the company unveiled its Retro line of graphics cards that bring back to life board designs from at least 10-15 years ago. A case in point is the new GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB Twin Frozr 2025 OC, which features a cooler that visually resembles the Twin Frozr II cooler from around 2012. There's also the RTX 5060 Cyclone, a card with an aluminium fin bagel cooling solution, a cooler design MSI used in the mid-late 2000s—almost 20 years ago!

Next up, is the GeForce RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 SUPRIM TITANIUM. This card is possibly MSI's answer to the ASUS ROG Astral Dhahab Edition, but with higher market availability. It features a-two-tone gold+titanium cooler shroud all around. The topside around the fans in particular has a very decadently textured matte finish that feels like a piece of jewellery in person. Lastly, the company showed us its RTX 5080 Expert graphics card. This card targets creators as much as it does gamers, and features a cooler design similar to NVIDIA's FE Double Axial Flow-through. Unlike the RTX 40-series Expert graphics cards, MSI claims to have worked extensively to improve the cooling performance and noise levels of its RTX 50-series Expert cards.

MSI's New QD-OLED and Fast-IPS Gaming Monitors Debut at Computex 2025

MSI did a complete refresh of its gaming monitors here at Computex 2025, and they managed to catch our attention when we first stopped at MSI's booths. Beside the MAG 27IQR QD‑OLED X50 monitor that uses AI human detection to prevent burn-in, we see the MAG 272QP QD-OLED X50. The latter comes with a 26.5-inch 2560 x 1440 resolution display, using the same Samsung 3rd-gen QD-OLED panel and sporting a 500 Hz refresh rate. It's certified by VESA for ClearMR 21000 and DisplayHDR True Black 500. While it's missing the AI Care sensor of the MAG 27IQR, it does feature OLED Care 2.0 technology to prevent burn-in and extend the panel's lifespan. Console gamers will find full support here with HDMI 2.1 48 Gbps bandwidth ports, 120 Hz refresh rate, ALLM and VRR for next-gen consoles.

Introduced last Friday, we spotted MSI's latest 27-inch Mini-LED dual mode gaming monitor named MPG 274URDFW E16M. The monitor uses a Rapid IPS panel with Dual Mode functionality, offering 160 Hz at UHD and 320 Hz at FHD with a 0.5 ms (GtG, Min.) response time. The Mini-LED and Quantum Dot technology boasts the monitor's contrast and brightness with 1,152 full-array local dimming zones. On the connectivity side, the MPG 274URDFW E16M offers HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4a, and USB Type-C with 98 W Power Delivery. The monitor also features 44 LEDs (a new MSI design) with Mystic Light support for customizable RGB effects, and a 4-way adjustable stand. For configuring the monitor, MSI included its AI Navigator feature with AI Menu for customized display settings that automatically activate when a game is launched.

MSI MEG VISION X AI 2nd is an Intelligent Desktop With Human-Machine Interface

At its Computex booth, MSI's MEG VISION X AI 2nd was a center of intelligent gaming desktops, based on MSI's new AI human-machine interface (HMI) that integrates a 13‑inch FHD touchscreen as a dynamic control hub, running proprietary MSI AI applications and enabling voice‑based interaction via a built‑in microphone and speaker to adapt performance on‑the‑fly and simplify hardware monitoring and peripherals management. It leverages a dedicated NPU within Intel Core Ultra Series 2 processors to accelerate AI‑driven tasks and intelligently optimize system tuning based on user scenarios.

Under the hood, MSI's Silent Storm Cooling AI orchestrates a multi‑chamber airflow design with AI algorithms that continuously adjust fan speeds for optimal thermal levels across the CPU, GPU, SSD, and VRM. At the same time, Glacier Armor heatsinks further reduce component temperatures even under marathon workloads. For the system base specification, MSI put Intel Core Ultra 9 285K processor, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs (including RTX 5080 and 5090), supported by up to 192 GB of DDR5‑6000 memory and fast PCIe Gen 5 NVMe SSD storage starting at 2 TB. It also features a Killer 5 GbE and Wi‑Fi 7 connectivity, and runs on Windows 11 Home or Pro. With the system featuring over 3,400 collective TOPS, its ready for adoption of commercial AI applications.

MSI's MAG 27IQR QD‑OLED X50 Uses AI Human Detection to Prevent Burn‑In

At Computex 2025, we stopped by MSI's booth to see what the company has prepared. An interesting oddball was the MAG 27IQR QD‑OLED X50 monitor. The monitor carries a 27-inch form factor with a 2560 × 1440 QD‑OLED panel that churns through ultra‑vivid colors (99 % DCI‑P3) and true, inky blacks under a DisplayHDR True Black 500 badge, while an impressive 500 Hz refresh rate and 0.03 ms gray‑to‑gray response time ensure every twitch and turn appears without blur or ghosting. MSI embedded a dedicated AI Care sensor, which detects when you approach the monitor to wake up, when you leave the monitor to lock the system, detects brightness levels in the room to auto-adjust, and controls the dimming and color temperature of the picture based on ambient conditions.

This AI Care technology, which also makes usage easier, prevents OLED burn-in by turning off the monitor when it's unnecessary. All of this combined extends the required panel refresh cycle from 16 to 24 hours and helps guard against burn‑in. That forward‑thinking approach is backed by a three‑year QD‑OLED warranty that explicitly covers burn‑in, and MSI's handy AI Navigator gives you on‑the‑fly control over all these features. Other specifications like NVIDIA G‑SYNC certification keep tearing out of sight, and the DisplayPort 2.1 input even handles up to 80 FPS at UHD 120 Hz for next‑gen rigs or consoles.

MSI Shows Off EdgeXpert MS-C931 DGX Spark Box and an AIO Desktop Powered by Meteor Lake

MSI at the 2025 Computex showcased is EdgeXpert MS-C931, a personal AI supercomputer powered by the NVIDIA DGX Spark platform. This NUC-sized box packs an NVIDIA "Grace Blackwell" GB10 superchip with NVLink-C2C interconnect for cache coherency between the CPU and GPU; 128 GB of unified LPDDR5X memory, 200 Gbps InfiniBand networking, and compute performance of up to 1,000 AI TOPS, for AI-native code development without having to leverage the cloud. The company also showed off its Modern AM273QP AI, an all-in-one desktop powered by Intel Core Ultra "Meteor Lake" processors. The AIO comes with a 27-inch 1440p display. Other features include Thunderbolt 4, and hot-swap M.2 NVMe SSD capability.

GIGABYTE Shows Off AI TOP Atom DGX Spark Box

GIGABYTE at the 2025 Computex showed off the AI TOP Atom, a custom-design NVIDIA DGX Spark box. NVIDIA earlier today announced that it had opened up the DGX Spark compact AI supercomputer for custom designs, and the AI TOP Atom is one of many such custom designs. The box combines an NVIDIA GB10 "Grace Blackwell" GPU+CPU combo, with 128 GB of unified LPDDR5X memory, NVLink chip-to-chip interconnect for full memory/cache coherence, and a high bandwidth ConnectX-7 InfiniBand NIC letting you stack up additional DGX Spark boxes. The box offers up to 1,000 AI TOPS of compute power and is able to accelerate 70B and 200B parameter models. It's designed for AI-native localized software development.

MiTAC Computing Launches the Latest Scale-out AI Server G4527G6 by NVIDIA MGX at Computex 2025

MiTAC Computing Technology Corporation, a leading server platform design, manufacturer, and a subsidiary of MiTAC Holdings Corporation (TSE:3706), will present its latest innovations in AI infrastructure at COMPUTEX 2025. GIGABYTE Shows Off AORUS RTX 5090 eGPU Box Implementing 120 Gbps Thunderbolt 5

GIGABYTE at the 2025 Computex showed off the AORUS RTX 5090 AI Box, which it claims to be the world's fastest external GPU (eGPU). This is an external GPU box with an ATX 3.1 power supply, and a Thunderbolt 5 interface that also leverages asymmetric bandwidth boost—where the host to GPU transmit (Tx) stream runs at 120 Gbps, while the host to GPU receive (Rx) stream runs at 40 Gbps. GPUs tend to be Tx-heavy devices. The box encapsulates a desktop GeForce RTX 5090 GPU that's cooled by an AIO liquid cooling solution. The box also puts out several docking station I/O features, such as Thunderbolt 5 downstream for daisy-chaining, Thunderbolt DisplayPort passthrough, a trio of standard DP, HDMI, 20 Gbps USB 3.2 Gen 2x2, 10 Gbps USB 3.2 Gen 2, and 2.5 GbE wired Ethernet. The USB ports put out by this box have USB-PD 3.0 quick charge capabilities.

NVIDIA GeForce Updates at Computex 2025: RTX 5060, RTX Remix Mod Contest

NVIDIA at the 2025 Computex announced a handful updates to its GeForce RTX gaming graphics ecosystem, with the introduction of the affordable GeForce RTX 5060 "Blackwell" graphics card. This card is based on the same GB206 silicon as the RTX 5060 Ti, but comes with 30 out of 36 SM present on the chip, for 3,840 CUDA cores. It comes with 8 GB of 28 Gbps 128-bit GDDR7 memory. NVIDIA is announcing the GPU for both desktop and laptops. The company claims maxed out gameplay at 1080p with ray tracing enabled, and DLSS Quality pushing frame rates well above 120 FPS. The RTX 5060 is designed to be a $300-class graphics card, while laptops based on it should start around the $1,100-mark.

NVIDIA Computex 2025 Keynote Address Liveblog

NVIDIA is at Computex 2025, with CEO Jensen Huang leading a keynote address. We go live with the various announcements. Jensen takes centerstage NVIDIA began with the announcement is the Grace Blackwell AI inferencing system. NVIDIA began the keynote showing off its latest GeForce RTX 5060 desktop and mobile graphics cards. Each node has the same compute throughput as the Sierra compute from 2018. The NVLink Spine is a backend interconnects 72 GB300 node. 1 NVLink spine moves more traffic than the entire Internet. Each NVL72 rack pulls 128 kVA of power.
