Cougar is expanding its gaming keyboard lineup with the entry-level 500K. While its bigger siblings, the 700K, and 600K, feature mechanical switches, the 500K offers gaming-grade membrane keys. The keyset resembles the 700K, more than the 600K; with its nine macro keys. The keystroke repeat function lets you repeat specific keys, at 2~8 times per second. The 500K features full N-key rollover, letting you press any number of keys simultaneously, over a USB connection, without keystrokes that don't register. The 500K features an "FPS-friendly" palm-rest. It however, lacks the brushed aluminium cladding found on Cougar's other two keyboards. Cougar didn't announce pricing or availability.

Ahead of its launch, Cougar put out pictures of its next mechanical gaming keyboard, the 600K. A lighter version of the company flagship 700K, the 600K lacks programmable hard-macro keys. On top of the standard 102-keyset, you get media keys, backlight adjustment, key repeat rate, and rollover adjustments. The keyboard features N-key rollover, a brushed aluminium top panel, back-lighting, with special orange lighting for WASD keys, a palm-rest, and a detachable USB cord. You can choose between four flavors of Cherry MX keys, black, red, brown, and blue. Cougar didn't announce pricing or availability.

Here are the first pictures of Cougar's QBX mini-iTX tower-type chassis. Cougar's new GXD line of high-end PSUs may not be the first to offer software based control, but it could well be the first to let you tinker with output domains such as 3.3V and +12V. The PSU's control software, which interfaces with it over USB, lets you tweak key voltage domains by ±3%. In theory, this should let you raise voltages under heavy load. Apart from electric control, the software lets you monitor the PSU's temperature, and control its fan-speed curve in relation to temperatures and load. It also lets you monitor the PC's input power and power output, and efficiency in real-time. Cougar GXD series come in two variants, 800W, designed for gaming PCs with up to two high-end graphics cards, and 1050W, for up to three.
