Sapphire rolled out the entry-mid range Radeon R7 260X iCafe OC graphics card for casual-gaming PC builds (eg: low-cost Counter Strike gaming kiosks). The SAPPHIRE R9 285 Dual-X is a new model from SAPPHIRE that features a new GCN core and the company's Dual-X cooler. Dual-X, with its two aerofoil fans, and set of graduated sizes of heatpipes, is an efficient and quiet cooler design which received industry acclaim in previous generations of products. The standard R9 285 model has 2GB of the latest GDDR5 memory clocked at 1375MHz (5.5GB/s effective) and a GCN core with 1792 stream processors clocked at 918MHz. The R9 285 OC model features the enhanced clock speeds of 965MHz for the core and 1400MHz for the memory (5.6GB/s effective).

Sapphire launched its first performance-segment "compact" graphics card to take on the likes of GeForce GTX 760 ITX cards by ASUS and MSI, even if it isn't the first AMD AIB partner to do so. Sapphire's card is based on AMD's swanky new Radeon R9 285 graphics chip, which is slated for September 2nd, 2014. Called the R9 285 ITX Compact Edition, the card is a little over 17 cm long, 11 cm tall, and 2-slot thick. It features a dense aluminium fin-stack heatsink, which is ventilated by a single 100 mm fan. The card draws power from two 6-pin PCIe connectors. A single 8-pin to two 6-pin adapter is included. Display outputs include two mini-DisplayPort 1.2, one HDMI 1.4a, and a dual-link DVI, which has analog (VGA) pins, and an adapter for that is included.

This is also likely the first/only R9 285 card to feature dual-BIOS, with a push-type BIOS toggle switch. This switch lets you select between a UEFI-ready BIOS that features a UEFI GOP driver, and a "legacy" BIOS. Both run the card at the same clock speeds - 918 MHz core, with 5.50 GHz (GDDR5-effective) memory. Sapphire is also readying an OC Edition variant of this card, which comes with a puny 10 MHz overclock (928 MHz core), and untouched memory clocks. Based on the 28 nm "Tonga" silicon, the R9 285 offers 1,792 GCN 1.1 stream processors, 112 TMUs, 32 ROPs, and a 256-bit wide memory interface, which holds 2 GB of memory on this card.

Sapphire unveiled a factory overclocked version of the mainstream Radeon R7 250X Vapor-X graphics card it launched back in February, the Radeon R7 250X GHz Edition. Based on the same exact board design, featuring the same dual-fan Vapor-X cooling solution as its predecessor, the GHz Edition card features clock speeds of 1000 MHz core, and 4.80 GHz (GDDR5-effective) memory; compared to reference clock speeds of 925 MHz core and 4.50 GHz memory. The card takes in power from a single 6-pin PCIe power connector. Display outputs include two dual-link DVI, and one each of HDMI 1.4a and DisplayPort 1.2. Based on the 28 nm "Cape Verde" silicon, the Radeon R7 250X features 640 stream processors, 40 TMUs, 16 ROPs, and a 128-bit wide GDDR5 memory interface. This card features 2 GB of it.

In addition to the Atomic 990FX, which features a full-coverage water block, Sapphire also showed off its cousin from the Intel platform, the Atomic Z97 (SIZ97). The motherboard in the picture below may look barren without its heatsinks, but that's because it has none, its water-block is standing right next to it, and needs to be installed after you drop in a CPU. Among its features are a 6-phase high-current CPU VRM, two PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slots, five SATA 6 Gb/s, one mSATA 6 Gb/s, and mainstream connectivity.

Sapphire's Atomic brand often sprung up some surprising products in the VGA space, including some of the very first graphics cards with factory-fitted liquid-cooling solutions. Its latest creation is the Atomic 990FX, a socket AM3+ motherboard in the ATX form-factor, with a full-coverage water-block. "Full coverage and motherboards?" you ask? Yes! This board features a full-coverage block that features coolant channels that pass through not just the CPU, but also CPU VRM, and the chipset. It features three PCI-Express 2.0 x16 slots, four DDR3 DIMM slots, six SATA 6 Gb/s ports, gigabit Ethernet, and 8-channel audio.

Sapphire unveiled the industry's first factory-overclocked Radeon R9 295X2 graphics card. The R9 295X2 OC from Sapphire sticks to AMD reference design, and ships in the metal suitcase, much like its base model; but comes with factory-overclocked speeds of 1030 MHz core (vs. 1018 MHz reference), and 5.20 GHz memory (vs. 5.00 GHz reference). The rest of its feature-set is identical to that of its reference-design product. The company didn't reveal pricing. The R9 295X2 is a dual-GPU card with a pair of 28 nm "Hawaii" GPUs, with 2,816 stream processors, 176 TMUs, 64 ROPs, and 512-bit wide memory interfaces, each; and each holding 4 GB of memory, totaling 8 GB on the card.

Sapphire gave the Radeon R9 270X some Tri-X treatment, and a high factory-overclock, with its Black Diamond Edition graphics card, which is exclusive to the Greater China region. The card features the same triple-fan Tri-X cooling solution with back-plate as some R9 280X graphics cards, featuring a meaty aluminium fin heatsink that's ventilated by a trio of fans. It offers a factory core overclock of 1100 MHz, and a memory overclock of 6.00 GHz (GDDR5-effective); compared to AMD reference speeds of 1000 MHz core, 1050 MHz boost, and 5.60 GHz memory. Other features include temperature-activated color LED logo badge, and dual-BIOS with UEFI modules. Based on the 28 nm "Curacao" silicon, the Radeon R9 270X features 1,280 stream processors, 80 TMUs, 32 ROPs, and a 256-bit wide GDDR5 memory interface, holding 2 GB of memory.

Sapphire's Radeon R9 295X2 graphics card is generally available, and ships in the metal suitcase that AMD shipped its reference design card to reviewers in. The only difference? The stylish black artwork is replaced with the usual Sapphire "robotic creature" artwork, and marketing blurbs. The rest of the card sticks to AMD reference design, except a couple of stickers, of course. A dual-GPU "CrossFire on a stick" solution based on two 28 nm "Hawaii" GPUs in the same core configuration as the Radeon R9 290X, the R9 295X2 features a factory-fitted closed-loop cooling solution, and clock speeds of 1018 MHz core, and 5.00 GHz memory. SAPPHIRE Technology has just introduced three new mainstream models to its highly successful R-Series of graphics cards based on AMD Graphics Core Next (GCN) architecture. The new SAPPHIRE R5 230 series includes three low profile PCI-Express graphics cards that require no additional power connector, making them ideal for entry level systems or for upgrading existing PC systems and providing additional monitor support. Two basic models have 160 Stream processors and core clocks of 625MHz, and offer a choice of 1GB or 2GB of DDR3 memory to deliver excellent performance and great value. Outputs are Dual-link DVI, VGA and HDMI, supporting a choice of monitor types and the cards ship with optional backplates for use in standard or low-profile chassis.

The third model is the R5 230 FleX, which also has 160 Stream processors and 625MHz core clocks, but has 1GB of DDR3 memory with the enhanced clock speed of 800MHz (1600MHz effective). The FleX model adds the SAPPHIRE exclusive ability to support three DVI monitors in Eyefinity mode without the need for any active adapters and deliver a true SLS (Single Large Surface) work area. The first two monitors are connected to the two DVI outputs. A third DVI monitor can be connected to the HDMI output with the passive cable adapter supplied.

Here it is, the first consumer (non-professional) graphics card with a staggering 8,192 MB (8 GB) of video memory. Sapphire is giving final touches to the Radeon R9 290X Toxic, which features 8 GB of memory across the GPU's 512-bit wide GDDR5 memory interface. In addition to that, the card is said to feature a massive factory-overclock, which could give it a shot at the performance crown from NVIDIA's GTX TITAN Black. The card features a large vapor-chamber equipped cooling solution in sexy black + yellow. The Toxic isn't going to be Sapphire's only R9 290X cards with 8 GB memory. There's also the R9 290X Vapor-X 8 GB, which goes easy on the factory-overclock, and probably OC headroom, but features the same cooling solution as the one on the Toxic, albeit with a different color scheme. Sapphire could launch the two on the backdrop of GDC.

AMD is working on a new SKU to seal the price-performance gap between the Radeon R7 250 and the R7 260. Called the Radeon R7 250X, the chip is said to be based on the 28 nm "Oland" silicon, and could feature a stream processor count of 640, with 40 TMUs, 16 ROPs, and a 128-bit wide GDDR5 memory interface, holding 1 GB or 2 GB of memory. The GPU is said to be clocked around 1.00 GHz, and memory around 4.50 GHz (72 GB/s). VideoCardz scored pictures of two of the first R7 250X graphics cards, branded by Sapphire and ASUS. AMD will slip the R7 250X into the channel rather quietly. It's already showing up on European retailers for around €90 (incl. VAT).
