MSI Puts Forward Zilent Series GeForce 9800 GT and GeForce 9500 GT Accelerators

MSI rolled out two non-reference graphics accelerators based on the GeForce 9800 GT and 9500 GT under the Zilent banner. MSI uses Zilent to brand its products such as graphics cards and motherboards where the acoustic envelope is significantly reduced without affecting the thermal envelope. The first card, N9800GT-Zilent is based on the newer G92b 55nm silicon fabricated core. It uses a cooler designed by Zalman which claims to have a smaller acoustic footprint than the stock NVIDIA cooler. The cooler is a double-slot solution and consists of four copper heat-pipes emerging out of the die contact area into a grill of aluminum fins. Central to this grill is what looks like a 60mm fan. MSI decided to step up the memory, this card comes with 1 GB of GDDR3 memory clocked at 950 MHz (1900 MHz DDR). The core is overclocked to 660 MHz. As with other GeForce 9800 GT cards, it supports NVIDIA HybridPower technology.

The second release is the N95000GT-MD512Z/D2. This card is completely silent, it has no moving parts. It consists of a core contact from which two aluminum heat-pipes convey heat away to aluminum fins behind the card that dissipate it. It comes with a HDMI port, and the usual DVI and D-Sub connectors. It comes with 512 MB of DDR2 memory clocked at 1000 MHz. The core is clocked at 550 MHz.

Sapphire Intros Toxic Radeon HD4850 and Radeon HD4850 1GB

Following the introduction of the highly acclaimed HD 4800 series, SAPPHIRE Technology, the leading manufacturer and worldwide supplier of AMD/ATI based graphics solutions is now shipping two new models of HD 4850 providing a further choice of price:performance points for the enthusiast.

The new SAPPHIRE HD 4850 1GB is a new version of the HD 4850 designed by SAPPHIRE for the user who demands more memory for specific applications like rendering. It offers similar overall performance to the standard model, with clock speeds of 625MHz (core) and 993MHz (memory).

Sapphire Toxic Radeon HD4850 Spotted

Fudzilla released the first pictures of an upcoming ATI Radeon HD4850 model from Sapphire, the Toxic Radeon HD4850. This card looks very familiar. It reminds us of the successful Radeon X1950 Pro custom-design by Sapphire using the familiar Zalman VF900-Cu cooler. It uses small aluminum heatsinks over the memory chips, a copper heatsink is used to cool the card's VRM. Expect this card to come with overclocked parameters.

Zalman Stealthy Launches the CNPS9300 AT CPU Cooler

Zalman has updated its cooling product portfolio today with a new CPU cooler named CNPS9300 AT, or what looks like to be the little brother of CNPS9500/9700. The pure copper and aluminum cooler, measuring 61.35x108x132.5mm (L x H x W) comes in Zalman's patented curved heatpipe design with four heatpipes and its own look. In the center of the cooler, there's a PWM controlled 92mm fan that spins from 1500 rpm to 2400 rpm with 20.0dBA to 30.0dBA ± 10% noise levels. The new cooler is compatible with Intel LGA 775 and AMD Socket 754, 939, 940, AM2 and AM2+ processors. The retail price set for it in Europe is about 42 Euro.

Leadtek Launches 20°C less hot 8800 GT

Leadtek Research Inc. proudly announces the launch of new high-end graphics cards for gaming enthusiasts. WinFast PX8800 GT ZL with the ZALMAN fan design, famous for efficient cooling power, presents the users with a temperature 20 degrees Celsius cooler compared to the NVIDIA reference cooler, that is able to achieve an outstanding benchmark with a more stable system and potential over-clocking for an exclusively higher performance.

MSI NX8800GT Zilent Series – Cooler and Even Quieter

Zalman's cooling solutions are pretty popular among graphic card manufacturers and the latest confirmation for this is Micro-Star International (MSI) and its new Zilent Series. The new family of video cards only includes one product for starters, the MSI NX8800GT Zilent Series, a GeForce 8800 GT card equipped with a VF1000 cooler that has aluminum fins (as opposed to the regular VF1000 which is all-copper). The new dual-slot cooled card is said to be 9% cooler and 20% quieter than the standard GT's. No price tag and release data have been unveild.

Zalman 19-inch and 22-inch 3D Displays Unveiled

Zalman published details about its 3D display on its website. Their new 3D displays are available in 19" and 22" versions and can display both 2D and 3D images. The 19" ZM-M190 has a 1280 x 1024 pixel resolution while the 22" ZM-M220W uses 1680 x 1050 pixels. Both displays have a 1000:1 contrast ratio, 300 nits brightness (up to 400 for 22" version) and a 5ms response time. Check the ZM-M190 and ZM-M220W product pages for more information.

Zalman to launch two new VGA coolers

Above, you can see the Zalman ZM-90 HP. The cooler is made from aluminum, and should be capable of cooling today's mid-range graphic cards.

The VF1000 is an active cooler manufactured from aluminum using four heat-pipes. Don't be deceived by its apparently small size: it will be capable of cooling GeForce 8800 GTX.
