Cooler Master Lab Test Bench Review

Introduction

I would like to thank Cooler Master for supplying the review sample.

Cooler Master has kindly sent us an unusual product. The Cooler Master Lab is a bench table for those wanting to benchmark components or who simply require an open system on which to exchange pieces frequently. This is the first such unit from the company, thus entering a small market of specialty companies only offering such devices.

Features:
  • Easy to install and test components
  • Limited special edition chassis
  • Rugged steel framed body
  • Supports built-in power supplies

Packaging

Cooler Master ships the Lab in a simple, brown cardboard box. The label actually reads "Test Bench V1.0", but the company decided to market the rack by the simple name of "Lab", which has also been printed on the unit itself. You will not find a lot of information on the package, besides some listed features and a general use diagram. The rack itself is secured by four foam spacers, which have been placed on every corner.

Contents

You will not find a lot of extras with the Cooler Master Lab. There is a bag full of screws and other mounting materials - that is it. I would have liked to see a manual of some sort or a detailed listing of what devices may be installed.
