I know my system looks quite unusual but it's technically pretty much the same as any other standard custom build loop (just with some added complexities). But my PC case, the Thermaltake Core P90 (https://ttpremium.eu/core-p90-tempered-glass-edition.html) was just screaming for a build that is not standard and in the past I've seen some awesome mods with this case (https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=thermaltkae+CoreP90+mod) which inspired me to take the first steps in watercooling a PC and some light modding.

Nice anecdote; I'm also on the Alphacool forum and posted the same picture with the question if I could purchase two extra brackets (as seen in the manual in the left bottom corner of the picture) as I could not find these brackets in their online store. I got feedback within 24h with the message that they don't have them in their assortment as seperate items.

I don't know if the looks of my system have anything to do with it, but to my suprise this support guy also said he talked to the RMA department and they have two brackets spare. As a goodwill gesture from Alphacool they will send them to me for free, can you imagine?

This defenitely is something different from the experiences with and complaints about customer support of different brands which are so often ventilated here in several threads.
These guys have earned themselves a place in my heart and complaints on Alphacool customer support I will look at with some sceptism and double check the facts as I know now these guys do a proper job.

Lookin good! I kinda feel left out back here in AM4ville :(

I mean I sold my 5600x3d for $200, got the 7800x3d for $196, if it wasn't for microcenter I wouldn't have this rig right now, price was just perfect. the ram is top tier ram really too (imo anyway) for only $82, sold my old ram for $30 so only like 50 out of pocket.

mobo and shipping stuff was the biggest hit, but that's alright. I never owned a dream mobo before, this is my first time, and I was happy to spend the extra 100 on it since I will be able to drop in 11800x3d and rtx 6090 in it no issues I expect. gen 5 gpu slot, etc.

I had my older 6700 XT with air for long, but during its last days in my main rig, I had also an universal block on it. And this 3080 had a FC block already installed as I got this from my online buddy with a good price. :)

More manufacturers need to make white PCBs.
I remember seeing some already in Socket 478 days if my memory serves me correctly. IIRC they're harder to manufacture (or were, at least back then) than "normal" PCBs, so that's why they're more rare.

Feels stupid when a GPU is marketed as a "white edition" when actually it has just a white cooler.

Might've stolen a MSI GPU bracket from my friends 4070 Ti's (don't worry, he hasn't noticed)

I wasn't planning on using it because of MSI logo (no reason, I actually like MSI but currently don't have any MSI parts in my system) but I realized I can hardly see it while it's running anyway. And weirdly, MSI's design fits ridiculously well with XFX's cooler. They have similar shade of black & silver paint with angled corners.

Props to MSI for designing such a convoluted piece of engineering for such a simple job though. It's supported by 4 screws yet it doesn't feel sturdy enough if I apply some force on it. And aligning was PITA. I guess 4070 Ti is smaller and lighter so it wouldn't be a problem anyway.

Better keep your dragon in hibernation so it won't start spitting fire and overheating your chips :fear:

But a nice picture indeed

I have an Antec P6 build that I have been updating for a while now.
Yesterday I added a Samsung 980 PRO to it and I consider the build finished.

Hardware: Intel 12600KF (stock) -- Kingston 6200 MHz CL36 -- Sapphire RX 7600 -- BIOSTAR B760MZ-E PRO -- Antec P6 -- Xilence XP550 -- ARCTIC i35 -- EVO 850 500GB -- 980 PRO 500GB

Software: Calculate Linux, KDE Plasma, Mesa open-source driver, XFS file system

I am going to install OpenBSD on the Samsung 980 PRO 500GB, so that I can run both Calculate Linux and OpenBSD on fast drives.

In a few years the Xilence XP550 will be 20 years old, but my system is more stable than most new Windows 10/11 and macOS systems at the moment.
I'm thinking of keeping this power supply for a few more years and then replacing it.

Is that a cathode tube? in an Antec case, talk about throw back. :) Nnnice.

My Sony camera is getting old and can't really reproduce what the light from the cathode looks like, but this shot with the iPhone 13 already shows it better.

This was from the period when I still used a GTX 650 1GB, but now I have an RX 7600 that is many times more powerful.

I think the cathode still looks nice, better than some modern LED lights. I also have a switch that allows me to turn off the cathode, it is usually not on.

Transplant complete.
The ARCTIC BBC(BigBlackCooler)barely fits on top because of the cpu power cables, my OCD is triggered badly, i guess it read TPU and saw what i'm calling it.
Also...because of no direct airflow, my chipset is now running at 60+ to 75c. I'm getting some kind of mini fan to put inside the case for it. Any suggestions for smth like that?
Aanyway: the case is gorgeous but surprisingly not that large where it matters. Pun intended.

Made a switch with the backup rig, although it might replace the VR rig (i5-8600K).
So now it sports the B650E-E + 7700X, a gpu will be installed at a later date. For cooling it's Arctic all the way; three P14's in the front and in the top the Liquid Freezer II 360.

Is it not possible to rotate the Thermalright logo on the CPU?
I tried messing with it a little bit, I looked in the manual too. I thought I saw something somewhere that it was just a clip that you slide out. I havent been able to find that clip lol!

Its a bit annoying. This one is upside down, my last one was sideways.. just cant win. Good temps though.
