The Acer FA100 is a solid-state drive in the M.2 2280 form factor, launched on April 30th, 2021. It is available in capacities ranging from 128 GB to 2 TB. This page reports specifications for the 1 TB variant. With the rest of the system, the Acer FA100 interfaces using a PCI-Express 3.0 x4 connection. The SSD controller is the IG5216 (Shasta+) from InnoGrit, a DRAM cache is not available. Acer has installed 96-layer TLC NAND flash on the FA100, the flash chips are made by Micron. Please note that this SSD is sold in multiple variants with different NAND flash or controller, which could affect performance, the "Notes" section at the end of this page has more info. To improve write speeds, a pseudo-SLC cache is used, so bursts of incoming writes are soaked up more quickly. The cache is sized at 159 GB, once it is full, writes complete at 800 MB/s. Copying data out of the SLC cache (folding) completes at 300 MB/s. The FA100 is rated for sequential read speeds of up to 3,300 MB/s and 2,700 MB/s write; random IOPS reach up to 325K for reads and 293K for writes.
At its launch, the SSD was priced at 105 USD. The warranty length is set to five years, which is an excellent warranty period. Acer guarantees an endurance rating of 600 TBW, a typical value for consumer SSDs.

Notes

Drive:

Native TLC write speeds post pSLC: ~ 800 MB/s (Avg)
Post pSLC Write speeds w/ datafolding: ~ 300 MB/s (Avg)

This SSD already has 2 variants out there, a newer one with Micron's FortisFlash B47R.
The newer revision with Micron's B47R had a larger pSLC Cache of ~ 218GB (1TB) with higher writes speed, but had lower sustained speeds after pSLC filled up.

Controller:

NAND Flash BUS: could be close to 1066 MT/s not confirmed though.

NAND Die:

tPROG - 800 µs (withouh Vpp)
tPROG w/ ~ 25% Overhead: ~ 914 µs (Avg 70 MB/s per each die)
