The Corsair MP300 was a solid-state drive in the M.2 2280 form factor, launched on June 5th, 2018, that is no longer in production. It was available in capacities ranging from 120 GB to 960 GB. This page reports specifications for the 240 GB variant. With the rest of the system, the Corsair MP300 interfaces using a PCI-Express 3.0 x2 connection. The SSD controller is the PS5008-E8-10 from Phison, a DRAM cache chip is available. Corsair has installed 64-layer TLC NAND flash on the MP300, the flash chips are made by Toshiba. To improve write speeds, a pseudo-SLC cache is used, so bursts of incoming writes are soaked up more quickly. The cache is sized at 28 GB. The MP300 is rated for sequential read speeds of up to 1,580 MB/s and 920 MB/s write; random IOPS reach up to 110K for reads and 180K for writes.
At its launch, the SSD was priced at 70 USD. The warranty length is set to five years, which is an excellent warranty period. The TBW rating for the Corsair MP300 240 GB is unknown.
