The XPG SX6000 Lite is a solid-state drive in the M.2 2280 form factor, launched on December 18th, 2018. It is available in capacities ranging from 128 GB to 1 TB. This page reports specifications for the 128 GB variant. With the rest of the system, the XPG SX6000 Lite interfaces using a PCI-Express 3.0 x4 connection. The SSD controller is the RTS5763DL from Realtek, a DRAM cache is not available. XPG has installed 64-layer TLC NAND flash on the SX6000 Lite, the flash chips are made by SpecTek. To improve write speeds, a pseudo-SLC cache is used, so bursts of incoming writes are soaked up more quickly. The cache is sized at 25 GB, once it is full, writes complete at 59 MB/s. The SX6000 Lite is rated for sequential read speeds of up to 1,800 MB/s and 600 MB/s write; random IOPS reach up to 100K for reads and 130K for writes.
At its launch, the SSD was priced at 50 USD. The warranty length is set to five years, which is an excellent warranty period. XPG guarantees an endurance rating of 60 TBW, a relatively low value compared to other SSDs.
