Latest version is OpenGL 4.3.
That example pretty much applies for any open source software.
BTW Im on a 7800 series card.
games can be faster than in windows, because windows is quite a resource whore.
when setting the V over the stock bios settings and resetting them later in afterburn, the V wont return to 0.9 instead it is stuck at 1V in 2D mode. Only reboot helped

- Update may break core functionality. Happened every fu time i update linux
Too many dev.'s spoil the source code.:)
Many HD7xxx series users here at TPU either have not encountered the issue with Skyrim or do not play it or any other DX9 based game which exhibits these black poly anomalies.
In fact you two are the first besides myself to have mentioned the issue here in TPU.
Here's a link to a thread which is all about the issue which is frequently updated.
And another link which has an AMD rep admit AMD knows about the problem and is apparently working on it now.
Scouring youtube, you will also find there are other people with 7800 series cards which have the same problem.
I have stayed with the 12.8s myself to minimize the amount of artifacting seen.
The DX9 bug in Skyrim after updating to 12.11 was the first time I had problems with my Sapphire 7870 GE. Ever since buying it in April it was a pleasant experience all the way.
Wanted to see if there were any noticeable gains with the new drivers, but it looks like I'll be waiting for a further stable update. Right now Skyrim is practically the only title I play on a regular basis. Other games also run perfectly so I'm not desperate for the 12.11 update.
Thanks once again for the links. It's always nice to know that a company is aware of the problems users are having, and is working on fixing them.
I can replicate this if i go back to 12.8..
